I don't see how or why a redirect to a mailto is valid (redirect means send the
same request to this other location). I think this issue should be WONTFIX instead.

I wasn't so sure myself but a google search found a number of use cases 
including http://jamesthornton.com/software/redirect-mailto.html

Also, I couldn't see that it was going to do any harm.

I too have hit this... v4.1.27

response.sendRedirect(mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]);

seems to strip the addr after the :

the sendRedirect then tries to open ONLY 

mailto: 

which creates a mail with the to: field blank

Tested with 4.1.27 with no problems. (Standalone connectors) I think it was
