http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=6651 Add -configtest option to Tomcat4 startup Summary: Add -configtest option to Tomcat4 startup Product: Tomcat 4 Version: Nightly Build Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: Other Component: Catalina AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you are using Tomcat 4 in a production environment you would like to minimize downtime. The only way to know that you made a mistake in your server.xml configuration is to actually stop and restart tomcat. Adding the startup option -configtest would only parse and verify the server.xml configuration and could be performed is Tomcat is running. This would allow you to verify any configuration changes before doing a tomcat stop/start with the new config. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
