Cool. For the next build, Mladen will add a new source bundle for the 
APR JNI wrapper library, and there should also be some real 
documentation. I think it should end up in the bin folder of the 
distribution, like the jsvc.tar.gz archive (similarly, it will include a 
ready to run configure).
