Tomcat timeouts not happening with SSL connections to apache
Hi, We have an application using apache and tomcat. We use a timeout setting with Tomcat to clean up user sessions. This works OK communicating to apache using http, but when we built apache to support SSL and started communicating to it over https, the timeout stopped working. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? We are using Tomcat 3.2.3 and Apache 1.3.22 on Solaris. RE: SSL Connection between Apache and Tomcat
Hi To start with you will need to build apache so that the mod_ssl module is installed and working. See the apache websites for details ... Regards Pete [END] -Original Message- From: Sasvari, Zsolt [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, February 06, 2002 1:11 PM To: 'Tomcat Users List' (E-mail) Subject: SSL Connection between Apache and Tomcat How can I set a secure connection between Apache and Tomcat? As I see the Ajp connetor is not SSL enabled. Then how secure will be a system if Tomcat runs in different machine from Apache? I looked through the mailing list archive and didn't find any answers. Has anybody something idea? Permissions for file created by tomcat on Solaris system
Hi, We have tomcat app creating files, which get created with permissions rw-r--r--, the default according to the system umask 022. Is it possible to configure tomcat to change the permissions used when it creates a file? Thanks. Tomcat creates a file called startup.log
Hi, We are running tomcat on Solaris 8. When it runs it creates a file called startup.log, but I cannot find any reference to this in the documentation. It appears to contain errors compiling JSPs and writes to stdout left in the java code. Please does anyone know where the creation/placement of this file is specified and if it is possible to stop writes to System.out.println ending up in there?
