Problem with Tomcat - IIS configuration

2001-02-14 Thread Rahul Desai

Hi all,

I have configured Tomcat to work with IIS and it it is working.

But I am facing this problem

I have created a context known as "rsrcadmn" in the Tomcat.
I have added this line in uriworkermap.properties :

/rsrcadmn/*=ajp12

and I have removed the entry

/examples/*=ajp12

But when I invoke http://localhost/rsrcadmn/servlet/MasterServlet
I am getting a 404.

But when I invoke http://localhost/examples/servlet/MasterServlet
I am getting the response.

I am not able to understand why is the response is coming even if
I have removed the examples entry in the uriworkermap.properties and
why I am getting a 404 for the rsrcadmn request.

Please help

TIA

Tomcat IIS configuration problem

2001-02-07 Thread Rahul Desai

I am trying to congigure Tomcat with IIS using the
article by Gal Shacor(Tomcat IIS HowTo) at
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/jakarta-tomcat/src/doc/tomcat-iis-howto.html

But I am unable to configure it sucessfully.
He says :

"Check the jakarta filter you added and make sure its status shows
a green upward-pointing arrow. If not, check the following:

Check the worker_file setting for typos, name and data.

Check the worker_mount_file setting typos, name and data.

If the above are set correctly, the green upward-pointing arrow
should appear, even if the other settings are wrong."

But for me even though the worker_file and the worker_mount_file settings
are OK, the status is still showing a red downward-pointing arrow.

Please help.

User Authentication using the Windows NT Authentication

2001-02-05 Thread Rahul Desai

Hi,

I am building a system for the Intranet. We have a NT network. I wanted to
know if by any means I can use the username and password that is registered in
the NT Server as the mode of authentication for my site built on Tomcat?

This is possible with the IIS.But I am not sure how it manages. In the
management console there is an option to do that.I am not able to figure out
anything with either Apache or Tomcat.

Any Ideas??
