Hmmm. Not a html-site but a Windos executable. Nice camouflage with
"www.whatever.com". My virus-scanner doesn't find something, so maybe it's
some trojan or something new? Horzsolt, I guess you should check your "sent
items" carefully and warn other recipients...

Re: google

2001-12-26 Thread Sri K Ganjam

Hi E B,
The topic under discussion with reference to google is indexing of the
mailing list archives. so that any one having questions can first search the
google and post if no information is found. this it would be easier for all
of us to dig through the huge archives. I think no one here is concerned
about page rank.

Strange prob with JDBC pool

2001-12-26 Thread Sri K Ganjam

Hi All,
I am facing this strange behavior using JDBC connection pools with Tomcat
4.0.1 I configured Connection pool using JNDI Resource How To. Every thing
worked fine when in one node. when I configured to do the same in another
node, I get the error ClassCastException tyrex.jdbc.xa.EnabledDataSource the
strange thing is that everything works fine when I changed the Datasource
say from jdbc/TestDB to jdbc/TestDBB in server.xml and once every thing runs
fine I changed back the DS name to jdbc/TestDB and now its working fine..
Can some one explain me this behavior. does the server stores the previous
configuration and still refering to it even after restatrting the server.. I
am confused about this.
Thanks and Regards,
Sri K Ganjam

2001-12-09 Thread Sri K Ganjam

Hi louie,

It depends on which module you want to use for communication between apache
and tomcat. Do u want to use mod_jk or mod_webapp. u need to build one of
these modules or take the available binary dist and proceed according to the
INSTALL.txt which comes along with them.. the config is very easy.

Re: ONE More Time! why does Tomcat 4 work this way

2001-12-07 Thread Sri K Ganjam

Hi,
I just subscribed to this list yesterday only. I am trying to port and
improve the mod_webapp on Linux /390. I successfully built it and ran it
under windows 2000 and RedHat linux without any changes from source drop, I
downloaded from here
http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-tomcat-4.0/release/v4.0.1/src/
but I find many problems with mod_webapp such as:
1. the requests are taking long to get served even a simple hello servlet
takes 90+ seconds to display from localhost.
2. the error "socket closed: connection reset by peer" comes up often (
every 3-4 request)
Does any one else faced the same problems?
Thanks and Regards,
Sri K Ganjam
