reloadable = true, ok...but...
(i'm talking about re-deploying a WAR file without stopping Tomcat) how does this option affect to tomcat's efficiency? ...because i supose this option force Tomcat to check often its 'webapp' directory in order to look for new files. Re-deploy a WAR file
Hi: I've listened about the chance of re-deploy an application (i.e. a war file) in Tomcat without restarting the server. I think is setting the attribute reload to 'true' in server.xml Can you confirm this point? Re: Re-deploy a WAR file (2nd)
About the same question Is there any 'signal' that says Tomcat there is a new version of a War File (so Tomcat can re-deploy the war)? __ Jaume Soriano Sivera [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tel: 96504 -ext. 44744 Fax: 965040047 Portal y servicios multimedia - Nuevas tecnologias W a n a d o o E s p a n a - http://www.wanadoo.es __ [EMAIL PROTECTED] 29/05/2001 14:02 Please respond to tomcat-user To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] cc: Subject:Re-deploy a WAR file Hi: I've listened about the chance of re-deploy an application (i.e. a war file) in Tomcat without restarting the server. Thank you, Randy... it wasn't my purpose to avoid people reading my e-mails! It is possible and its done through the server.xml file (although I can't seem to remember how right now). One suggestion would be to not post HTML-encoded messages, since a number of people on list can't easily read them (thus the way you sent your message encouraged the people you wanted to as the most to not read your message). Hello again: about my last e-mail to this list... It's possible to use jikes as default compiler for jsp files in Tomcat? (instead of javac). I've been looking for any place in $tomcat_home/conf/build.xml where configure this option but i haven't found anything. perhaps, Is it a non apropriate question to this group? or, due to my bad english it hasn't been understood... So, is possible to use 'jikes' as the default jsp compiler with Tomcat? Thanks again, and excuse me to be so impatient ;-) __ Jaume Soriano Sivera [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tel: 96504 -ext. 44744 Fax: 965040047 Portal y servicios multimedia - Nuevas tecnologias W a n a d o o E s p a n a - http://www.wanadoo.es __
Tomcat and Jikes
Hello everybody: I'm new in this list and here goes my first (great) doubt: It's possible to use jikes as default compiler to servlets/jsp files in Tomcat? (instead of javac). I've been looking for any place in $tomcat_home/conf/build.xml where configure this option but i haven't found anything. Thanks a lot in advance: __ Jaume Soriano Sivera [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tel: 96504 -ext. 44744 Fax: 965040047 Portal y servicios multimedia - Nuevas tecnologias W a n a d o o E s p a n a - http://www.wanadoo.es __
