Dear Tomcat Users, I'm using the Tomcat Manager to mantain some deployed Servlet applications on Unix a machine. I have the following question: I have a servlet application that when I start it via Tomcat Manager the application establishes 32 pemenent connections to mysql database. Unfortunately, when I stop the application those permenent connections are still established, only when I stop the Tomcat service the sokects are released. Who should be the one to release the sokects? The Tomcat or the application on Tomcat? I think it should be the application that when receives a signal from Tomcat to stop then it should release the sockets, but I was not the one who developed the application I'm just a Unix admin that is trying to understand why the sockets are in established mode unless I stop the Tomcat service. Hope you can help me... Regards, Michele
