 I made it into a pull request at:
 https://github.com/torproject/tor/pull/1100

 The fix looks good to me.

 This code is not reachable in any supported tor version, so we don't need
 to backport the fix.

 seem to still be cases where test-stem will time out Travis, causing an
 error, instead of a failure. I'm not sure if `allow_failures` will catch
 it, but maybe we can try to rerun jobs until it does?

 If timelimit isn't terminating stem, then that's a separate bug which we
 should fix.

 I don't think so, I think I wrote the rest of my comments in this ticket.

 I didn't notice until now, but this change breaks both bridge jobs in the
 chutney CI:
 https://travis-ci.org/torproject/chutney/builds/543863234

 I'd like to make sure there is CI for these pluggable transports, I think
 the best way to do that is adding them to the bridge jobs. I'll try to do
 that later today.

 Once we get pluggable transports into test-network.sh, let's think about

 * a pool of available connections
 * a connection to a specific endpoint
 * lifecycles to manage the request, pool, connection, and endpoint states
 * a prioritiser and scheduler (which can implement happy eyeballs) to make
 sure the pool is healthy, and get the resource from the pool

 Building up the layers:
 * we have pools of Fallback Directory Mirrors, Authorities, Directory
 Guards, Guards, and Bridges
 * we have pools of ORPort and DirPort connections
 * we have a pool of directory requests for each kind of directory document
 * we have a pool of preemptive circuits for each kind of circuit

 Let's add the following networks to Tor's chutney CI job:

 * skip basic-min
 * replace hs-v2-min and hs-v3-min with hs-v23-min in 0.3.5 and later, and
 make the same change in:
   * make test-network
   * chutney Travis CI

 IPv6 requires macOS in Travis:
 * bridges+ipv6-min
 Depending on the version of tor in homebrew, which usually tracks stable:
 * hs-v23-ipv6-md in 0.3.5 and later; hs-ipv6 in 0.2.9
 * single-onion-v23-IPv6-md in 0.4.1 and later; single-onion-ipv6-md in

 Thanks; this looks good! https://travis-
 ci.org/torproject/tor/builds/543644646 shows an allowed failure. There
 seem to still be cases where test-stem will time out Travis, causing an
 error, instead of a failure. I'm not sure if `allow_failures` will catch
 it, but maybe we can try to rerun jobs until it does?

 With current rebased tor-browser ESR68 branch I can only run tbb-tests
 (with `run-tbb-tests` script) when `pref("network.file.path_blacklist",
 "/net")` is removed and `pref("extensions.torbutton.use_nontor_proxy",
 true);` is set, apart from disabling tor-launcher. The second pref
 disables the domain isolator, which makes sense since it expects SOCKS5
 proxies, but mochitests override that. For the other pref, not sure why
 `network.file.path_blacklist` needs to be unset (at least for Linux).

 We could put these prefs in `testing/marionette/prefs/marionette.js` so
 that tests can be run (unless there is a simpler way to get the tests tor
 run that I'm missing).

 Summarizing for my benefit, here are the changes I need to make:
   * Make a new test-network-ci target that behaves like test-network-all,
 but only runs the selected networks for CI (bridges-min, hs-v2-min, and
 hs-v3-min where supported).  This should happen after #30459 is merged, so
 that we can have chutney handle the skip logic.
   * Open a ticket to disable "make check" for stem.  Do this after stem is
 allow_failure, to avoid conflects.
   * Re-do the merges to 0.3.5 and forward; drop plans to support 0.3.4.
 Make sure that I get the use of SKIP_MAKE_TEST right.

 I think that I am currently blocked on the allow_failure change in stem
 and the merge of #30459.

 We recently produces graphs from the unsanitized broker logs
 [https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/30693#comment:3 here].
 However, the script to produce these graphs was complicated due to the
 structure of the log messages. We should evaluate log output from the
 broker and decide what to keep, what to change, and what to discard.

 This seems good to me.  Comments and clarifications:

 I'd like to suggest that if the failure can be fixed within some number of
 hours, it doesn't require any of the workarounds (reverting, allow-
 failures, skipping) to actually happen.

 We should specify that every revert should come with a re-opened ticket.
 Every skip or allow-failures should come with a ticket.

 We should specify a keyword for all the tickets that represent tests that
 are disabled for CI.  We should have open tickets with this keyword
 tracked on the CI page.

 Hi Karsten, hi irl. I'm not against new annotations but if we go that
 route I'd like for us to formally specify them in the dir-spec.

 Presently tor has two kinds of annotations...

 1. CollecTor's @type annotations. These are speced on the metrics site and
 only exist in CollecTor archives.

 2. Server descriptors cached into tor's data directory. These aren't
 speced anywhere and effectively nobody uses them.

 If we'd like to add a new annotation type that's great! But I'd appreciate
 if we formally spec annotations in the dir-spec.
