 I tested in both Firefox and Chrome with macOS's dark mode and they seemed
 to work.

 The only thing I noticed is the arrow for "Learn more" is hard to make out
 (as evidenced in the attachments above).  You can follow up with that and
 use a different green as in comment:13

 is a bit of a nuisance but we shouldn't be storing blacklisted request
 headers or decoy bridges in bridgedb.conf

 admin.git/tree/etc/bridgedb.conf because the file is public]. Instead, we
 want to keep these configuration options hidden from our adversaries.

 We inserted them into the patch sequence in a logical place (similar to
 where they are in the ESR60-based Tor Browser).

 We did some testing of all of these patches together on macOS and Linux,
 but not on Windows.

 If you compare the ESR60 and ESR68 patches for #4234, you will notice that
 we omitted the `AdjustPathForUpdater()` code inside
 toolkit/xre/nsUpdateDriver.cpp. The #13379 contains the changes that are
 needed (look for `AppendToLibPath()`) and in ESR60 that #13379 patch just
 removes the `AdjustPathForUpdater()` code that is added by the #4234 patch
 (which seems silly since we don't plan to ever use the #4234 patch without
 the #13379 one).

 We confirmed that the #29180 patch is no longer needed.

 Finally, we noticed a few miscellaneous issues while testing in ESR68 and
 we will open new tickets for them. For example, our Linux alpha build
 wants to create a new profile directory named `RANDOM.default-alpha` which
 is not good for Tor Browser.

 It looks like GetTor didn't survive getulum's reboot.  We should make sure
 that there are systemd scripts in place to start GetTor on boot. Anyway, I

 i've found at least one of the problems and worked around it. permissions
 on /etc/ssh/userkeys/mirroradm were wrong: it was unreadable by the
 mirroradm user. i made the file owned by mirrroradm for now and was able
 to push an update on the ooni website.

 i'll investigate the deeper cause for this problem next.

 The scripts work as far as they do what I intended them to, but maybe they
 use deprecated things or are fragile. This is not super urgent but it
 would be good to have this passing in GitLab so it's obvious when we

 Oh this is a good point. I can make this change pretty easily now.

 This will definitely be the case for quite a while, I think a spec change

 This also fixes the issue in current esr68 nightly that search engine
 icons disappear after restarting the Tor Browser. Note that the value
 `extensions.enabledScopes = 5` comes from (`AddonManager.SCOPE_PROFILE=1 |

 I am sorry Tor Browser is not working for you. For support questions like
 yours, we recommend that you join the #tor channel on OFTC IRC (see
 https://www.torproject.org/contact/) and ask for help. If you cannot do
 that, please reopen this ticket and provide answers to the following:
 * What version of Tor Browser are you using?
 * What OS/platform are you using? e.g., Windows 7 64bit.
 * Exactly what do you see after Tor Browser "just opens"?

 And here are a few notes that might help:

 On Windows and Linux, Tor Browser stores its settings with the application
 (self-contained) so that a new copy should start without settings . That
 means you should be prompted to `Configure` or `Connect` after opening Tor
 Browser. On Windows anti-malware software on your computer sometimes
 interferes with Tor Browser, so that is one possible cause for the kind of
 problem you are experiencing.

 On macOS, if you install Tor Browser in your Applications folder, settings
 are stored in a folder at `~/Library/Application Support/TorBrowser-Data`.
 In that case, you should delete that folder to start fresh, or you should
 put `Tor Browser.app` in its own folder on your desktop (in that case,
 settings are stored next to the app in a new `TorBrowser-Data` folder).

 Did an initial high-level review of the code. I did not actually look at
 the nitty-gritty details (e.g. low-level parsing/encoding) yet. I'll also

 Ah, I had already pushed changes to metrics-base, because they seemed
 trivial enough. So, in theory, it should also run in the CI. Glad to hear

 Couple ideas after implementing the CollecTor and metrics-web parts:
  - As indicated before, I'm using `snowflake-stats-end` as descriptor type
 identifier, which means that future data format versions will have to keep
 that line as their first line. A better choice would have been to use
 something like `snowflake-stats $version` or similar. (If it's any relief,
 we're forced to use `[0-9]{10}` as descriptor type identifier for
 bandwidth files, so there would have been plenty of room to do worse.)
  - The current format only supports a single snowflake broker. Maybe this
 is acceptable for the snowflake design. But just in case that you'll one
 day want to add a second broker, you'll have to include some sort of
 broker identifier in the format.
  - The current format is not signed, which is somewhat related to not
 having a broker identifier in the format.
  - As a consequence of the above, CollecTor needs to make a decision
 whether it wants to archive a newly downloaded snowflake-stats snippet, if
 it already has another snippet with the same timestamp and different
 contents. Possible strategies for this specific case are to a) never
 overwrite, b) always overwrite, c) keep all versions by including a digest
 in the file name, d) maybe something else. I implemented a) for now.

 I think we can start with what we have, without changing anything of the
 above. Of course, if you want to change something with regard to future
 maintenance effort, now's the time!

 It is worthless and may backfire. Censors would just contact the
 developers and say "implement measures preventing using your service for
 censorship circumvention or we will block your service too". This may
 include eliminating peer-to-peer calls entirely, streaming them through
 own servers and also implement recording and analysis of calls for
 surveillance and marketing needs.
