 Attached is the only error log we were able to find, which isn't very
 helpful.

 Removing the application and profile, and starting from scratch worked as
 expected.  lnl's account is all setup now, and we were able to establish
 an OTR session.

 I'm not sure how things got so corrupted.  Tools > Add-ons > Extensions
 didn't even show ctyptes-otr, only Tor Launcher.

 I should note that I've successfully used that version of TM on Sierra, so
 this is likely something specific to your environment (or, mine).

 It sounds like the ctypes-otr extension is failing to load.  You'd need to
 scroll all the way to the top of the error console to see the errors
 related to loading the extension.

 I'm wondering if this is related to, https://github.com/arlolra/ctypes-
 otr/issues/91

 It seems like Tor Messenger 0.2.0b2 doesn't support OTR with macOS Sierra
 10.12.

 I'm on k2r67kry5haud25b.onion on the default port specified by Tor
 Messenger (5299?). I've been online for about an hour now, so I don't
 think it should still be generating keys.

 What's odd is that under "Tools" I don't see "OTR preferences."

 I've checked the error console, but there are no errors relating to OTR.
