There's a certain circularity to this: if you use rare OSes because attackers aren't interested in them and you convince lots of people that this is a good strategy, attackers may then get more interested in them. So it's at least not a strategy that can scale very well. -- Seth SchoenSenior Staff Technologist https://www.eff.org/ Electronic Frontier Foundation https://www.eff.org/join 815 Eddy Street, San Francisco, CA 94109 +1 415 436 9333 x107 -- tor-talk mailing list - tor-talk@lists.torproject.org To unsubscribe or change other settings go to https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-talk

@NTPT: - You're confusing obscurity and security. - "NSA backdoors" are not the only type of vulnerability. - Security in software design has come a long way in the past 10 years. - If this is for a relay, the security impact could be to ALL users of the Tor network. Despite the snark at the end of my earlier email, I stand by the general security concern. -- tor-talk mailing list - tor-talk@lists.torproject.org To unsubscribe or change other settings go to https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-talk

It is deffinietly NOT funny. Because obsolente and old systems with little impact, there would be a littlo possibilkity for backdors nsa shit and other stuff. -- Původní zpráva -- Od: Fabio Pietrosanti (naif) - lists <li...@infosecurity.ch> Komu: tor-talk@lists.torproject.org Datum: 31. 5. 2016 18:42:20 Předmět: [tor-talk] Tor-Retro' for OS/2 Warp 4.52 Latest Release (2001) ?
