Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Can I force my SBT to look at another Music Library?
Is port 3483 UDP open on the server and is udp broadcast allowed on the network. If this works all lms servers can announce themselfs to the players and can be found in that menu for easy switching. [SlimDevices: Touch] Can I force my SBT to look at another Music Library?
I have used the Touch for over 3 years and once in awhile I have a maddening situation that I only know how to resolve by restoring factory settings (Which is a bit of a pain). I took my SBT to Florida where I was running the SBT music Library on my Laptop. When I got hom the LMS would not recognize the SBT. Restarted Network, Rebooted Computer, had Laptop Shutoff. Unplugged SBT. No mater what I did everytime I tried to connect to 'My Music' the SBT would try to connect to the Laptop, even though it was shutoff. I have a Hardwire ethernet to the SBT. After fooling with this for a half hour, I did a Factory Reset on the SBT and then it connected to My desktop Music Library right away. Is there a simpler way to get the SBT to connect to the Music Library. This situation has happened a few times for various reasons and it is maddening! Cut-Throat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43167 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101110 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Sounds like an IP addressing issue. I take it they're different routers at each location? Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Can I force my SBT to look at another Music Library?
Have you tried switching library? You can find it in My Music on the Touch player's menus. Stratmangler wrote: So you've gone to My Music/Switch Library/... on the Touch player? Any device you have running LMS should announce itself on the network - I've run a couple of different devices as server before now, and had no issues switching server on this screen. The only difference is that they've both been on the same router. Have you tried going to Settings/Advanced/Networking on the Touch player, and selecting a connection from there? Yes, connected to my 1 and only router, wireless and Ethernet. Looks like the best solution is the one you've found already, infuriating as it may be.
