Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
After a recent update (kernel?), I have begun to occasionally receive
the message "Running in Low Graphics Mode" at boot (maybe half the
time). I can tell it to use Default setting from the options it
offers, and get by it, after which things look and work normally until
a reboot, which may or may not occur correctly.

I also usually get "System error detected, Report? at the same time,
so I agree to report it.

This problem shows up using GNOME Flashback or Unity.

Bug description:
Trying to install the updates along with audacity through Synaptic, it
  had problems and didn't install.

I didn't copy the error message but it was something related to: util-
  linux

And I think the error message was something related to that "it can't be
true!" and it included a message like this:
  E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Thereafter I couldn't install nor uninstall anything.

  In http://www.ubuntu-es.org/node/157198#.WWCyvydLfrc they advised to
go to /var/lib/dpkg/info as root, then to remove all files including
  util-linux on its names.

Then, I could uninstall util-linux and everything seems Ok now.

But, I just did a # apt-get -f install, and it returns that:

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
whatever it is I am sure it is something I have done to it in the last
24 hrs. It was working without glitch es until I started into it. I
had hoped for more with adding the card. I am not sure If the gpu with
the intel chip wasn't doing better or if I can turn it off somehow.
The firmware with the ATI is not what I had hoped either. I would like
for everything to not lcok up or cause something else to not quite
work right such as the mouse or just trying to navigate or scroll a
window. I am sure I have to many things running sometimes and I am
still getting the hang of just how the structure works with it all.
For example this go around and there have been several in the last 9
months, all with a smile though. Installed several packages with
several different methods such appimaage, snapd, flatpack, git, built
them from source code, etc... and The appimages are just frustrating
sometimes depending on wether I built them, used ocs-url, open desktop
, or the new one can't remember, it put them every where and then they
just wern't recoginized by something else, so then there were 2, and
sometimes Root, User, and usr all had there own but no one had
everything and of course it is just My best friends ME, myself, and I
that are using this machine. All in All hve put 10 different versions
of linux and windows on this machine all in a multiboot working
correctly twice now. There is however not a really reason to have
asmany now. It has all been to learn, and use something I had not
before and see which ones did what. I think i should have started with
the structure of the basic kernel and worked my way up, but it does
appear sometimes different distros still put what they want where they
want, also. Hope you are havung a day with just enough stress to cause
you to learn something new and share it with someone else someday.
Thank you for your time in reading not only this, but what I am sure
is so so so many other reports.

Title:
Samba printer installed in cups, can't print

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I belive this is a CUPS-problem, but I'm not shure.

  How I installed the printer:
  =
Since my Ubuntu-installation is in Norwegian, I will try to translate the
menu into English.
From the desktop, I selected System-->Administration-->Printer-->New-->Printer
Then I selected Windows Printer via SAMBA and typed
"smb://terne.hials.no/gbl1-r4500" where "terne" is a servername in the domain
"hials.no" (In Windows i can select the printer by typing \\terne and my
usern...@hials.no and password.)
"gbl1-r4500" is the network name for the Ricoh Aficio MP-4500 printer.
The I selected the Autenification and entered my usern...@hials.no and my
password in the respective textfields before pressing Comfirm.
Then I got the information that the printer is acessable.
  Pressing OK.

  PROBLEM PART:
  =
Then I was trying to print a test-page from the properties menu for the
printer.
Then I got the Username and password dialog for this network printer and
entered usern...@hials.no and my password.
  ERROR: Access denied.
  usern...@terne.hials.no and password
  ERROR: Access denied.
  username and password
  ERROR: Access denied.
  ERROR: Access denied.

Any idea how to fix this?
I belive that the domain workgroup is dominating above the domain hials.no
When I type usern...@hials.no, then the domain shuld be hials.no and not
workgroup.
So the server might belive that I'm trying to log on by using
usern...@hials.no@workgroup
This is only my idea aboute the bug.

But this login dialog wiondow should have a domain-field so I can
  replace "workgroup" with hials.no

I installed the Canon printer driver under Jaunty (9.04) and printing to the
Canon MF4140 worked perfectly.
I upgraded to Karmic (9.10) and printing no longer worked. I downgraded only
the hal-cups-util package and it works again.

I am reporting this as a bug on cups as it seems to cover several packages.
It appears the ability to execute /usr/lib/cups/backend/hal is _essential_

Canon's UFR II printer driver is widely used to support their low cost

Title:
cups converts multiple times between pdf and ps

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: cups

I guess this bug could be related to bug #382379 but as I'm not really
shure I didn't append to that pretty overloaded bug.

Printing a PDF can take very long (and I'm not shure if the print jobs
really end successfully). I have tried three cases:

  CASE 1:
I have a PDF (a converted PowerPoint presentation, about 125 slides, 10 MB).
The PDF mainly consists of text, formula and vector graphics. There are a few
JPGs in it, too, but they are low resolution only.

As more than 120 pages is very much to print and the font size is big,
too, I wanted to print 2 slides on one DIN A4 page. Okular (or
kprinter?) has a function for this so I tried to use it.

After about 1 hour I didn't have at least one printed page but a CPU
intensive gs process running and a temporary PS file that was far bigger than
200 MB.
After some more waiting I cancelled the printing job.

  CASE 2:
I had the suspicion that gs processed each file as seperate image to fit two
of them on one page. So I tried Adobe reader togive out a ps file with 2 slides
on one page hoping that this application is a bit more efficient.

It really is more efficient and the resulting PS file was "just" about
130 MB which I guess is not too bad if the Reader has converted some
vector grafics into rasterized images (for compatibility reasons for
example). I expected it should be no big problem to print out this
"printer ready" PS file... So I opened in Okular and tried to print
it. But after some time the printing wasn't even started and it took a
closer look at the processes running:

$ ps -fA | grep gs
  lp3991 2481 0 19:27 ?00:00:00 /bin/sh
/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstopdf 433 dominic Physik 1_1 1 [...]
/var/spool/cups/d00433-001
  lp3992 2481 0 19:27 ?00:00:00 Brother_DCP-120C 433 dominic
Physik 1_1 1 BRColorEnhancement=ON [...]
  lp3993 2481 0 19:27 ?00:00:00 /bin/sh
/usr/lib/cups/filter/cpdftocps 433 dominic Physik 1_1 1 BRColor[...]
  lp3994 2481 0 19:27 ?00:00:00 /bin/csh
/usr/lib/cups/filter/brlpdwrapperDCP110C 433 dominic Physik 1_1 1 [...]
  root 3995 2481 0 19:27 ?00:00:00 usb://Brother/DCP-120C 433
dominic Physik 1_1 1 [...]
  lp4058 3991 61 19:28 ?00:00:07 gs -dSAFER
-dCompatibilityLevel=1.3 -dAutoRotatePages=/None -dAutoFilterColorImages=false
-dNOPLATFONTS -dPARANOIDSAFER -sstdout=%stderr -dColorImageFilter=/FlateEncode
-dPDFSETTINGS=/printer -dDoNumCopies -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE=pdfwrite
-sstdout=%stderr -sOutputFile=- -dSAFER -dCompatibilityLevel=1.3
-dAutoRotatePages=/None -dAutoFilterColorImages=false -dNOPLATFONTS
-dPARANOIDSAFER -sstdout=%stderr -dColorImageFilter=/FlateEncode
-dPDFSETTINGS=/printer -dDoNumCopies -c .setpdfwrite -f -

  (Cups is process 2481)

So it seems as if the printer ready PS file is converted to PDF and back to
PS again by Cups and that gs is processing it in some way, too.
This semed very inefficeinto me so I canceled the printing job again as it
probably wouldn't be processed any time soon.

  CASE 3:
I thought maybe Okular and Cups couldn't communicate that the file was
already ready for printing. So I tried to print the file directly using "lp" -
but the problem was the same. And also printing diectly from Adobe Reader had
this effect (but I guess this is hardly surprising as it seems to use "lpr").

  --
Maybe the problem is something completely different, but that's all I could
find out. The only thing I know for sure is that I have no proper solution to
print such documents which I need for studying :-(

But I hope that this bug can be solved. I will help as good as I can.

Why is the other bug set to private? This is super annoying. If you do
not want duplicate bug reports, the other bug should never have been set
to private, especially not after such a long time and still not being
fixed.

Title:
HPLIP not an option when installing new printer

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: cups

HPLIP is not presented as an option in a fresh 9.10 install, allowing
only DNS-SD as an auto-detected configuration. This results in the
inability to setup the FAX queue that HPLIP would provide. In
addition, xsane does not find and cannot use the scanner with a DNS-SD
  configured printer.

Trying to setup the FAX queue manually, running "hp-setup -i" results
in the following snippet (FAX QUEUE setup only):

  ---
  | FAX QUEUE SETUP |
  ---

Please enter a name for this fax queue (m=use model
name:'Officejet_Pro_L7600_fax'*, q=quit) ?
  Using queue name: Officejet_Pro_L7600_fax
error: Unable to find HP fax PPD file! Please check you HPLIP installation
and try again.

The above error occurs, despite the fact that the hpijs package provides both
of the following files.
  /usr/share/ppd/hplip/HP/HP-Fax-hpijs.ppd.gz
  /usr/share/ppd/hplip/HP/HP-Fax2-hpijs.ppd.gz

Attached is a screenshot of system-config-printer, trying to add an HP
Officejet Pro L7650 on Ubuntu 9.10, illustrating the lack of an HPIJS
option. I will also attach a similar screenshot from 9.04, showing
that HPIJS is the default option, allowing the FAX queue to be setup,
which also results in proper sane detection of the scanner function.

This is kind of a followup of bug #57050, but launchpad didn't give me the
option to continue on this bug. so here is a new one.
I'm on Ubuntu Karmic 64bit. My usb printer brother HL-1430 is installed
automatically after plugin, but I followed several guidelines and installed the
package brother-cups-wrapper-laser1 and choose the new ppd from
/usr/share/ppd/Brother/brhl1430_cups.ppd in printer config.
But still I have the problem: I can only print once. Sometimes it helps to
just unplug and plugin again. Sometimes I have to power down the printer,
sometimes I do a /etc/init.d/cups.d restart - sometimes only everything
together helps.

What I expected to happen: Printing to a network printer without being asked
for authorization
What actually happened: Authorization was requested when trying to print to
the network printer

The printer in question is on a Windows XP machine and is accessed
  through a Samba share.

  Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install a Samba shared printer that does not require authorization by
going to System->Administration->Printing
  2. On the wizard screen under Authorization leave the default setting,
"Prompt user if authentication is required"
  3. Print and be prompted for authorization

  Details:

I get asked for authorization with every print. I can leave the
password blank or put anything at all in the username and password
fields and the document will print. It shows up as "Guest" user on
  the XP machine.

  Workaround:

I tried changing the setting for the authorization to guest with no

recreating the printer and setting the username to "guest" and leaving

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1768230] Re: Long time booting : Failed to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to device scanning.

2018-08-04 Thread ZhangWenChao
Ubuntu 18.04.1

It takes a long time to boot, then enter the password to unlock the
disk.

Title:
Long time booting : Failed to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to
  device scanning.

Status in initramfs-tools package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in initramfs-tools source package in Bionic:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  [SRU Justification]
A regression in initramfs-tools causes it to autogenerate config in the
initramfs saying to resume from any available swap devices, but references the
swap device by UUID, which is not a canonical form for referring to LVM volumes
(because of snapshotting, they are not unique). Ubiquity also generates a file
in /etc at install time which references the swap partition in the same way.
Since the lvm2 initramfs hooks also only activate precisely those LVs that are
detected as needed at boot, this adds an inappropriate 30-second boot delay to
any system with swap on LVM, which includes any desktop system that was
configured with LVM (but not full-disk encryption) at install time.

  [Test case]
  1. Install using the "Use LVM" option in the desktop installer.
  4. Reboot.
  5. Verify that dmesg shows a 30-second delay before mounting the root
filesystem.
  6. Install initramfs-tools from bionic-proposed.
  7. Reboot.
  8. Verify that dmesg no longer shows a 30-second delay before mounting the
root filesystem.
  9. Install using the bionic daily image that contains the ubiquity from
bionic-proposed.
  10. Reboot.
  11. Verify that /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume is not present and that
there is no delay before mounting the root filesystem.

  [Regression potential]
This makes changes to shell scripts, and shell is a perilous language. An
unnoticed bug could cause all initramfs generation, and thus all kernel
installation, to fail for some users. A regression could also cause a user to
lose hiberation support that they currently have.

  [Original description]
After choosing "Erase disk and install ubuntu" + "Use LVM with the new Ubuntu
installation", the
system is very slow to reboot.

It shows the message : "WARNING:Failed to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to
device scanning.",
then waits 32 seconds, then continues as it should.

I think this is a ubiquity bug, since the d-i based installer is not affected.

Intermittent black screen on HP EliteBook 840 G1

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Once every couple hours, the internal laptop display goes black for a
  few seconds.

  This was reproducible:
+ With the laptop connected to a port replicator and the external display
connected into the port replicator DP port via DP-DVI adapter. The external
display remains on during this time.
+ With the laptop not connected into a port replicator but connected to an
external display. The external display remains on during this time.
+ With the laptop not connected to either a port replicator or an external
display.

The hard disk was originally installed with Ubuntu MATE 14.10 in a HP
EliteBook 6930p, upgraded to 15.04, 15.10 and eventually 16.04 and
finally moved to the EliteBook 840 G1. The problem started immediately

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1772844] Re: snapd didn't initialize all the seeded snaps

2018-08-04 Thread Adam Conrad
Indeed, fixed on 18.04 and broken on 18.10 is intentional, as the 18.04
"fix" was a horrible hack in livecd-rootfs to work around the bug in
time for the point release, while I've been assured that 18.10 will get
a proper fix in snapd instead.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1785400] [NEW] Unable to locate package python3-defaults

2018-08-04 Thread Ricardo Paxson
Public bug reported:

Installed 18.04.1 Server AMD
Trying to get pip3 and venv to work but I get the following:

sudo apt install python3-defaults
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package python3-defaults

same thing for python3-pip3, python3-venv

have done apt update already.

sources.list has the following (untouched after installation of OS)
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic main
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-security main
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-updates main

I can't find this package anywhere. What do I add to sources.list to fix
this?

Thanks for any help and apologies if the solution is obvious.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1785302] Re: rsync -a should imply -X

You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1785302

Title:
  rsync -a should imply -X

Status in rsync package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  As discussed at https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-
devel/2018-August/040407.html ff, as of Ubuntu 18.04 an Ubuntu root
filesystem uses xattrs for storing filesystem capabilities. We should
therefore have defaults for our rsync that preserve these attributes
without needing to pass additional commandline options.

Currently the rsync -a ("archive") option is documented as preserving
  symlinks (-l), permissions (-p), modification times (-t), groups (-g),
owners (-u), and special files (-D); but not hardlinks (-H), acls
  (-A), or xattrs (-X). I haven't looked into the reasoning, but I
expect it's because the first set of options can be assumed supported
on a target POSIX-ish filesystem, and the latter are not guaranteed to
be supported on all POSIX-ish filesystems (although POSIX does require
hardlink support). On Ubuntu, and on modern Linux generally, it
should be safe to assume that any POSIX filesystem currently in use
that supports Unix permissions and special files also supports acls
and xattrs. (Linux filesystems known to support them: ext4, xfs, jfs,
  zfs, btrfs.)

Without having looked closely at the implementation, I think a
sensible approach on Ubuntu would be:

   - rsync when sending should interpret '-a' to include '-A' and '-X' and send
acls and xattrs as part of the stream.
 - if sending to a remote server that doesn't negotiate a protocol high
enough to handle acls and xattrs, do not consider this an error.
   - rsync when receiving xattrs and acls appears to already ignore failures to
set them, so no changes would be required for compatibility.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1785291] Re: tar --xattr and --xattr-include=* should be defaults

Title:
tar --xattr and --xattr-include=* should be defaults

Status in tar package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  As discussed at https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-
devel/2018-August/040407.html ff, as of Ubuntu 18.04 an Ubuntu root
filesystem uses xattrs for storing filesystem capabilities. We should
therefore have defaults for our tar that preserve these attributes
without needing to pass additional commandline options.

Currently when creating a tarball you must pass the non-default option
--xattrs and when extracting a tarball you must pass the non-default
  option --xattrs-include=*.

The latter is particularly awkward, and Colin Watson found some
version of tar documentation that suggests --xattrs-include=* should
never be needed, only --xattrs. But that doesn't appear in the
version of tar(1) in bionic, and in practice --xattrs-include=* is
  definitely required.

Ideally we want this changed in upstream tar as well since we can't
rely on users using the Ubuntu build of tar to unpack their Ubuntu
filesystems; but even without this we should change the default in
Ubuntu to take the sharp edges off for our users where possible.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1754294] Re: After last updated libcurl3 on libcurl4, some apps are removed.

2018-08-04 Thread Donjan Rodic
Upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04.1 expecting stability. Now I can't have
cmake and google earth installed simultaneously without tedious manual
package patching at every update?!

$ sudo apt install cmake libcurl3

libcurl3 : Conflicts: libcurl4 but 7.58.0-2ubuntu3.2 is to be installed
libcurl4 : Conflicts: libcurl3 but 7.58.0-2ubuntu2 is to be installed

After last updated libcurl3 on libcurl4, some apps are removed.

Status in curl package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hi!

After last updated libcurl3 on libcurl4, system (Kubuntu 18.04 bionic)
deleted such applications as:
  virtualbox-5.2
  opera-stable
  slack-desktop
  mongodb

I really need these applications, I installed them with broken
dependencies, but they are deleted after each update. Is it possible
to make the dependence of the libcurl3 in libcurl4, and not remove it
  altogether from system?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1785391] Re: aa-genprof fails in an lxd instance

2018-08-04 Thread Seth Arnold
Funny enough, aa-logprof doesn't work well in a guest on my system
either:

# aa-logprof
Reading log entries from /var/log/syslog.
Updating AppArmor profiles in /etc/apparmor.d.

This could be because the host system is running auditd.

I have no idea what happens if the host isn't running auditd.

Thanks

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1785389] [NEW] useradd is not looking for --gid in --root

2018-08-04 Thread Simon Levesque
Public bug reported:

Application: /usr/sbin/useradd

Doing:
 THE_ID=7
 THE_NAME=a
 groupadd --gid $THE_ID $THE_NAME
 useradd --uid $THE_ID --gid $THE_ID --home-dir /home/$THE_NAME --create-home
$THE_NAME

is working fine, but when specifying a --root, the provided --gid is not
checked in the group file in the --root folder. Steps:

 BASE_FOLDER=$(mktemp -d)
 cd $BASE_FOLDER
 THE_ID=7
 THE_NAME=a
 mkdir etc home
 touch etc/group etc/passwd etc/shadow
 groupadd --root $BASE_FOLDER --gid $THE_ID $THE_NAME
 useradd --root $BASE_FOLDER --uid $THE_ID --gid $THE_ID --home-dir
/home/$THE_NAME --create-home $THE_NAME

Getting error
useradd: group '7' does not exist

checking the group file, the group exists:
grep a $BASE_FOLDER/etc/group

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1785383] [NEW] missing EDNS0 record confuses systemd-resolved

2018-08-04 Thread Steve Dodd
Public bug reported:

dnsmasq 2.79 and below omits EDNS0 OPT records when returning an empty
answer for a domain it is authoritative for. systemd-resolved seems to
get confused by this in certain circumstances; when using the stub
resolver and requesting an address for which there are no records,
there can sometimes be a five second hang in resolution.

This is fixed by upstream commit
http://thekelleys.org.uk/gitweb/?p=dnsmasq.git;a=commit;h=1682d15a744880b0398af75eadf68fe66128af78

Not sure if it is worth cherry picking? I imagine the most likely
trigger will be dnsmasq on routers which are not likely to be running
Ubuntu, but maybe just in case.

I also think there are some logic issues in systemd-resolved, upstream
bug filed:

https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/9785

Simple-ish test case:

---
IFACE=dummy0
SUBNET=10.0.0

ip link add $IFACE type dummy
ifconfig $IFACE ${SUBNET}.1/24
dnsmasq -h -R -d -C /dev/null -2 $IFACE -z -i $IFACE -I lo
--host-record=test.test,${SUBNET}.1 &

dig -t a test.test @10.0.0.1 | grep EDNS
# should return "; EDNS ..."
dig -t test.test @10.0.0.1 | grep EDNS
# again, should return "; EDNS ..." but doesn't
---

To reproduce the systemd-resolved side of the problem

---
# as above, but
# now configure systemd-resolved to look at only 10.0.0.1, then

systemd-resolve --reset-server-features
# should exhibit five second delay then connect, assuming sshd is running :)
ssh test.test

Title:
Regression due to CVE-2018-1116 (processes not inheriting user's
  supplementary groups )

Status in policykit-1 package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
This report is tracking a possible regression caused by the recent
  CVE-2018-1116 patches to policykit-1.

On 18.04, since package upgrades on July 23rd, and after the first
reboot since then on Aug 1st, I hit an issue with the primary (sudo,
adm, etc...) user getting Permission Denied trying to do:

  tail -f /var/log/syslog

when that file is owned by syslog:adm and is g=r.

I then found that "groups" reports only the $USER and not the entire
list, but "groups $USER" reports all the groups correctly.

The user shell is set to /usr/bin/tmux and /etc/tmux.conf has "set -g
  default-shell /bin/bash"

After changing the user's shell back to /bin/bash and logging in on
tty1 the list of groups shows correctly for the /bin/bash process
  running on tty1.

I investigated and found that for the affected processes, such as the
  tmux process, /proc/$PID/loginuid = 4294967295 whereas the /bin/bash
process on tty1 correctly reported 1000. The same with the respective
  gid_map and uid_map.

  4294967295 == -1 == 0x

The recent CVE patch to policykit has several functions where it does
"uid = -1" which seems to tie in to my findings so far.

I also noticed Ubuntu is still based on version 0.105 which was
released in 2012 - upstream released 0.115 with the CVE patch.

I suspect the backporting has missed something.

  The Ubuntu backport patch is:

  https://git.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/policykit-1/commit/?h=applied/ubuntu
  /bionic-devel=840c50182f5ab1ba28c1d20cce4c207364852935

Title:
periodic audio skips with Intel HDA

Status in PulseAudio:
  Unknown
Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
When running PulseAudio, if I'm playing music via any source (Exaile, Totem,
Flash in Firefox or Chromium, VLC, etc.) every few minutes the audio will skip

  didn't skip.

I'd like to use PulseAudio, but it's pretty annoying having audio skip all the
  time.

  ...and it goes on.

The "Underrun!" messages alone happened a few times before, but it
  didn't skip.

I'd like to use PulseAudio, but it's pretty annoying having audio skip all the
  time.

Bug description:
Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) Beta 2
  Release: 12.04 Beta 2

The printer is a Lexmark X734de printer connected over a wireless
network that can be found, but will not print. The print job stays in
the queue forever. Wireless Printer "Processing - Unable to locate
  printer."

Network/Local Printers found but cannot print - Unable to get printer
  status and says it's "Processing".

I'm shure we want avoid this for the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise
Pangolin) release, when the final has been released. I'm using Ubuntu
12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) Beta 2 with latest update as of today.
