This is A14 12/26/2016 And the bug is still present on 16.04.2 with HWE kernel (4.8) and Xorg (1.18.4). Session crashes. It does not happen, when either pasting into different application (like terminal) or wen use Copy - Paste instead of middle button. I noticed it about a week ago, so it must be some recent change; I use selection paste often enough to notice something like this before.
