[Touch-packages] [Bug 1759628] Re: bluez regression: Bluetooth audio fails to reconnect after resume

2018-04-15 Thread Anmar Oueja
As much as I love to have this fixed in the final release, I understand
Daniel's hesitation. The point is to try and keep things as stable as
possible prior to releasing. Good news it is fixed and it is just a
matter of time before it is released.

The following patches were added to the 5.48 version in Fedora and they
did fix the problem. Perhaps worth you adding them as well. Please see

bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1534857

Title:
[XPS 15 9550, Realtek ALC3266] Headphone jack stops working after a
  while

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I'm experiencing a strange behavior with a headphone jack on my
  laptop.

I have an external audio speaker connected to it. When I disconnect the
speaker and reconnect it again it stops working.
Even more, laptop audio stops working too. And after the reboot, I don't even
see any of the audio devices.

I've googled a lot and tried different fixes from forums with no luck.
After a while, I've accidentally discovered that putting the laptop to
the sleep mode and rebooting system after brings audio back to live.
Even more, if speakers were attached during this sleep-reboot
procedure, they are starting to work as well.

However, after the next reboot speakers are not working again. And if
I will plug them out and in - problem with completely missing audio
  returns.

P.S. I'm using laptop-mode-tools package on my laptop. Recovery after
hibernation made me believe that it's somehow related. But after
uninstalling this package nothing really changed.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1470258] [NEW] browser is up side down on rotated screens

2015-06-30 Thread Anmar Oueja
Public bug reported:

I have an external screen that's attached to my laptop. The screen is
rotated clockwise (portrait view). When I launch the Ubuntu browser and
move it to the rotated screen, it flips upside down. When I drag it back
to the laptop screen, it flips to the proper orientation (right side
up). Please see screenshot attached.
