[Touch-packages] [Bug 1959508] Re: enable BMFF support in exiv2
Many thanks! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to exiv2 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1959508 Title: enable BMFF support in exiv2 Status in exiv2 package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in exiv2 package in Debian: Fix Released Bug description: On https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jammy/+source/exiv2 I see that Ubuntu 22.04 currently includes exiv2 0.27.3 Exiv2 v0.27.5 includes support for Canon *.CR3 image files. The CR3 file format has been the Canon camera-raw file format since mid 2018, and is probably one of the most common raw image file formats today. Applications such as darktable, amongst others, use exiv2 to extract image metadata, thumbnails and previews, and can only open CR3 files when linked with exiv2 0.27.5 or later. Note that exiv2 0.27.5 needs to be built with -DEXIV2_ENABLE_BMFF=On to enable *.CR3 support. Would it be possible to get Exiv2 v0.27.5 with BMFF support enabled included in Ubuntu 22.04? The situation has clarified since then and it will be enabled by default in future Exiv2 versions. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1575078] Re: [XPS 15 9550, Realtek ALC3266] Headphone jack stops working after a while
Solved? Thanks for this forum Ubuntu. I'm a Fedora user, but I frequently find solutions here I have an XPS 9550 along with the issue of the headphone microphone not working. I changed /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf from: options snd-hda-intel single_cmd=1 probe_mask=1 model=dell-headset-multi to: options snd-hda-intel single_cmd=1 probe_mask=1 model=headset-mic And now my headphone microphone works. There is no annoying popup when you plug in the headphones either. Hopefully this helps someone. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to alsa-driver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575078 Title: [XPS 15 9550, Realtek ALC3266] Headphone jack stops working after a while Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I'm experiencing a strange behavior with a headphone jack on my laptop. I have an external audio speaker connected to it. When I disconnect the speaker and reconnect it again it stops working. Even more, laptop audio stops working too. And after the reboot, I don't even see any of the audio devices. I've googled a lot and tried different fixes from forums with no luck. After a while, I've accidentally discovered that putting the laptop to the sleep mode and rebooting system after brings audio back to live. Even more, if speakers were attached during this sleep-reboot procedure, they are starting to work as well. However, after the next reboot speakers are not working again. And if I will plug them out and in - problem with completely missing audio returns. P.S. I'm using laptop-mode-tools package on my laptop. Recovery after hibernation made me believe that it's somehow related. But after uninstalling this package nothing really changed.
