2020-09-28 Thread Facundo Batista
Public bug reported:

This happens to me around once per week. The first line I found in
syslog is:

Xorg: page allocation failure: order:5,
mode:0x40cc0(GFP_KERNEL|__GFP_COMP),
nodemask=(null),cpuset=/,mems_allowed=0

Attached is the whole syslog extract for the problem.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1884846] Re: Can't connect to internet if second user session

2020-06-26 Thread Facundo Batista
Hello Sebastien,

I'm admin, yes. `groups` gives me: facundo adm cdrom sudo dip plugdev
lpadmin lxd sambashare

I did not try to activate any specific connection: it's just NM trying
to connect to one of its saved WiFis when starting the session.

I don't have gnome to try it.

Data point: after several attempts in error, it ended up connecting to
WiFi... maybe the other connection in the other session did some kind of
timeout?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1364341] Re: Allow a rootless navigation structure

** Changed in: unity-scopes-api (Ubuntu)

--
You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1364341

Title:
  Allow a rootless navigation structure

Status in unity-scopes-api package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
Currently, the 7digital scope is returning this structure for the
  categories/departments/navigation:

  {'canned_query': 'scope://com.canonical.scopes.sevendigital',
   'label': 'All categories',
   'subdepartments': [{'canned_query':
'scope://com.canonical.scopes.sevendigital?dep=newreleases',
   'has_subdepartments': False,
   'label': 'New releases'},
  {'canned_query':
'scope://com.canonical.scopes.sevendigital?dep=topalbums',
   'has_subdepartments': False,
   'label': 'Top albums'},
  {'canned_query':
'scope://com.canonical.scopes.sevendigital?dep=toptracks',
   'has_subdepartments': False,
   'label': 'Top tracks'},
  {'canned_query':
'scope://com.canonical.scopes.sevendigital?dep=genres',
   'has_subdepartments': True,
   'label': 'Genres'}]}

However, Design requested for this structure to be rootless, to don't
have a "All categories" root in the beginning. Currently, if the
server returns the needed structure, it doesn't work ok.

Talking with Pawel and Albert they agreed works needs to be done in
this project for this to be possible.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1715750] [NEW] cursor not blinking when editing a file

2017-09-07 Thread Facundo Batista
Public bug reported:

Happens with a lot of different files, if not all.

You move the cursor around, maybe it blinks a couple of times, then it
disappears.

I could record a video, if needed, to show it.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1535877] [NEW] dhclient is trying to get ipv4 info through an ipv6 device

2016-01-19 Thread Facundo Batista
Public bug reported:

Or at least is the analysis I did, exact situation is as follow:

- Arrived in a friend's appartment, phone (Android) connected to
internet OK

- Opened the laptop, NetworkManager showed the attempt to connect, then
finished saying "connected", but the icon wasn't right, and I didn't
have internet in the computer

- Wife's phone (android) connected ok (just mentioning this to mark the
fact that the router had free IPs, etc.)

- I started debugging, couldn't make it work. Finally, I hardcoded the
IP, mask, gateway, and DNSs, and everything worked ok, so it leaded me
to distrust dhclient in the process

Attached are the full syslogs from the connection attempt, with the info
from devices and routes after leaving it to connect.

Thanks!

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1399401] Re: SmartScopesProxy should allow send the User Agent also when doing the remote-scopes request

2014-12-06 Thread Facundo Batista
Yes, partner-id would be enough for all the situations that we need now
(in the future this may change, of course, but let's keep it simple: if
partner-id only will be fast, let's do that soon and we'll handle the
future when it arrives).

thanks!

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1386698] [NEW] Canned queries to favorited scopes don't preserve search query string

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1386709] [NEW] Queries to remote scopes don't include location data (even if the scope needs it)

2014-10-28 Thread Facundo Batista
Public bug reported:

The query to weatherchannel is not including lat/long, even if the
remote-scopes listing have the needs_location_data in true:
https://pastebin.canonical.com/119512/

The server try to guess user location using geo-ip, but it's not always
as accurate as we need for a user service (it depends heavily on your IP
being representative of where you really are, which may not be the case
for hotel proxys, weird ISPs, etc).

Plase, send user's latitude and longitude for the remote scopes that
need this information.

Thanks!

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1381930] Re: 7digital previews do not play in the scope

2014-10-20 Thread Facundo Batista
The URL is coming from the server is ok, like the one pointing James
above, or this example:

http://previews.7digital.com/clip/40202347?oauth_nonce=05780389oauth_timestamp=1413816139country=USoauth_consumer_key=7d7e9ja2evm7oauth_signature_method
=HMAC-
SHA1oauth_version=1.0oauth_signature=FVgXk5tzbSyyB6/g/78GO8REavA%3D

The problem is that at some point it's get mangled. See what unity8 logs
in the device (unity8-dash.log):

  Setting media to: QUrl(
http://previews.7digital.com/clip/40202347?oauth_nonce=05780389oauth_timestamp=1413816139country=USoauth_consumer_key=7d7e9ja2evm7oauth_signature_method
=HMAC-
SHA1oauth_version=1.0oauth_signature=FVgXk5tzbSyyB6/g/78GO8REavA= )

(pay extra attention to the last character in the URL)

Changing the project to unity8 as for Saviq recomendation in IRC.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1382097] [NEW] Issues with requests sent to the rest scopes server

2014-10-16 Thread Facundo Batista
Public bug reported:

See for example the log line here:

  https://pastebin.canonical.com/118745/

I'm sure it's from a recent phone image because it has the software
versions inside.

This is what I see strange, though:

- The country parameter is broken: ...country=scopes-api=0.6.6+...

- I thought the scopes-api, plugin, release, etc, should be inside an
user agent parameter, not all different separated parameters in the
request... it's harder to use them if they're separated, and they will
even change in the future (today we have a unity8 parameter, that at
some point will be unity9, etc..)

  This screenshot shows the issue:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/183466031/scopes-less-attrs.png

Saviq's suggestion to fix this is to make titles always left aligned too, and
to extend the category renderer so some scopes can align to the center if
needed, using something like this:
   { title : { field: title, align: center}, ...}

All categories that wish to have centered titles need to send the
above in components, otherwise will be left-aligned.

NOTE also that this will force just a single line of title, so
anything that doesn't fit in one line will be elided.

This is all according to the spec:
