Basically, this patch fixes both.
The main reason why it *only* fixes PC, but not for touch is that we forget to
re-compile qtubuntu(libqpa-ubuntumirclient.so) to make this work.Compiling
qtbase automatically enable qpa(linuxfb,eglfs...) linked against patch applied
qtbase module. So we can't reproduce this issue on PC(linuxfb).
However as a standalone qpa plugin,ubuntumirclient is not native
supported,which means it's not in qtbase/src/plugins/platforms).So
ubuntumirclient can't find the new added
symbol(QFontconfigDatabase::fontsAlwaysScalable()).And it didn't work out on
touch.
Please check the attached picture. I test and verify my patch on bq.

After applied 50 GU setting in image, we started seeing randomly
missing Chinese characters across scopes and apps header, not clipped
at the begin or end of string, sometimes in the middle.
STEPS:
1. Switch display language to zh_CN in system settings
2. Reboot the phone

I should see all header strings displayed properly.

Bug is marked as P2(Important, Not urgent, should be fixed, but will not stop

Regarding the code snippets above.
For Chinese characters, QFontDatabase will use fallback font family("Droid Sans
Fallback") with "Light" style when add font Glyph.
since QFontDatabase checks if default style(Regular) of fallback font family
"Droid Sans Fallback" is same as font style specified in qml(Font.Light). And
QFontDatabase::isSmoothlyScalable will return false in such a case, which
results in scene graph will
use QSGDefaultGlyphNode when createGlyphNode is called. Issue happens.
However If scene graph doesn't prefer NativeGlyphNode and create GlyphNode
based on Distance Field technique. It works fine.

I can swipe to go to future days, and the EventBubble appears there. If I swipe back to return to the original Day, or I go to a different view (MonthView, WeekView, etc.) the event appears. Since the EventBubble appears after re-navigating to the page in any way, this appears to be a "refreshing" problem, where the DayView isn't updated after creating a recurring event. Steps to Reproduce 1) Open the Calendar App, and go to any day on the DayView. 2) Create a recurring event starting on that day, which re-occurs daily. 3) Save the new event and return to the DayView. The EventBubble should not appear on the DayView for the current Day. Expected: The EventBubble should appear on the DayView page immediately after returning from creating the event. Every time tab transition from "year" to "monthly" .
1.Qt.ResolveUrl("YearView") will create new qml object since YearView has been
unloaded (Loader.source = "",garbage collected) when it swipes away.
2.EventlistModel will reload events due to startPeriodTime was changed(current
Date/ current Month/ previous Month / Next Month), 4 times for
Qt.createQmlObject for Timer to trigger event loading and destroy itself when
event was loaded(garbage collected)
I think this issue exists in other tabs transitions and the reason why it's
easier to reproduce from "year" to "monthly" lies in the complexity qml
component creation in year view.
My testing device is on the way. I will test it with my patch to check if this
issue is still existing and give feedback ASAP.
