I believe I added the appropriate bugwatch to the upstream report: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=791144 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #791144 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=791144 ** Also affects: gnome-online-accounts via https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=791144 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to gnome-online-accounts in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1733002 Title: Google Online Account Two Factor with hardware key fails immediately Status in gnome-online-accounts: Unknown Status in gnome-online-accounts package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The hardware key authentication two factor fails immediately with a web based retry dialogue when connecting a Google account to the online accounts in settings using a hardware key second factor. Steps to reproduce: 1. Set Google Account to default to a hardware security key like a Yubikey or other FIDO standard key after having two factor authentication enabled on your Google Account. 2. Open Online accounts 3. Add a Google Account 4. Enter google email address 5. Enter google password 6. (this is the login flow of two factor, if default is the hardware key the error should appear). [Touch-packages] [Bug 1735941] [NEW] no stereo on reconnect or by default for Sony 1000xm2 headphones
Public bug reported: Expectation: Bluetooth headphones attach with stereo sound on every connect. Issue: only stereo after manual switch of settings on first pair. Reconnect only has mono connection. Ubuntu 17.10 on a System76 Serval WS. Mono audio with the Sony 1000XM2 bluetooth headphones is the default on first pairing and is the only option after turning off the bluetooth or headphones. On a new pairing the default is HSP with mono audio. Manually I have to change to A2DP in the sound settings and I am able to have stereo sound. Disabling bluetooth or turning off the headphones followed by a connection will result in mono audio in HSP and switching to A2DP will also be mono. Temporary Workaround: remove the headphones from the paired devices and pair again as a new device to get access to stereo sound again. This procedure has to be repeated on every reconnect. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1633319] Re: memory leak in indicator-datetime
I've been able to narrow down on my system that enabling "Evolution Data Server" for Access to the Google Calendar is the trigger for this memory issue. See the three screenshots. I even removed and reauthorized the Google account access with no change. First screenshot shows the Evolution Data Service disabled and memory function is normal. Second is toggling the Evolution Data Service from off to on. After ~10-5 seconds memory consumption appears at a rapid rate. Third is after switching Evolution Data Service from on to off and killing the indicator-datetime-service process showing the memory issue no longer exists. If Evolution Data Server is not switched to off killing the indicator- datetime-service process only restarts memory levels at the initial value and consumption growth appears nearly immediately following its automatic resume. ** Attachment added: "Three screenshots before during and after" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-datetime/+bug/1633319/+attachment/4762228/+files/screenshots.tar.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to indicator-datetime in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1633319 Title: memory leak in indicator-datetime Status in indicator-datetime package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: After upgrading from 16.04 to 16.10 on the System76 Serval WS indicator-datetime-service is consuming all the system memory from 3.7GB up to 32 GB in 30 seconds. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1416186] Re: Periodically loss of backlight control
The behavior is the lighting control works upon initial boot, but after leaving the computer on for multiple hours at some point the backlight ceases to respond and backlight controls are never regained until a shutdown or reboot of the system. I haven't tracked the exact pattern of actions that cause this. The on screen indicator shows the graphic of the dimming, but the actual behavior of reducing brightness does not function upon key press. I noticed when the backlight was lost the following is added to dmesg, but I don't know how long before or after the loss that this message appeared: [ 9231.171766] usb 5-1: USB disconnect, device number 4 [11481.272220] perf interrupt took too long (2515 > 2500), lowering kernel.perf_event_max_sample_rate to 5 [20859.513041] atkbd serio0: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xab on isa0060/serio0).
