I can confirm this bug on my Bq E 4.5.
Not the whole phone freezes, but the camera app.
In the system settings, no app has access to the microphone. The camera app
never asked for access.
After some trying and fiddling, I could get the camera app to record video, but
without sound.

This bug affects both E4.5 and E5 devices, as reported by some users
on IRC. I use:
OS build number: 5
Ubuntu image part: 20150825.1
Device build: VEGETA01A-S23A_BQ_L100EN_2005_150825
Customization image part: 20150821-887-33-32-vivid
[Reproduction]
Whenever I try to record a video on my E5 and I switch in the camera
app from taking pictures to record videos and hit the record button
the phone freezes.
