[Touch-packages] [Bug 1857652] [NEW] Loud background hiss when using headphones (XPS 13 9350)

2019-12-26 Thread Qasim Ali
Public bug reported:

Whenever I play audio, I head a loud hiss from my headphones. The hiss
stops after a few seconds if I pause the audio, but starts again when I
start it.

The hiss goes away if I open 'alsamixer' and increase 'Headphone Mic
Boost', but I'm not sure if this is expected behaviour.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 520546] Re: Alt-f2 switches to virtual terminal 2

2018-10-28 Thread Qasim Ali
I'm experiencing this on a fresh install of Kubuntu 18.04 as well.

Alt-f2 switches to virtual terminal 2

  Invalid
Status in console-setup package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I'm running Ubuntu Lucid development branch.

Pressing alt-f2 switches the screen to the second virtual terminal.
Alt-f3 does the same to the third and so on. I expected alt-f2 to open
  the run dialog.

I'm pretty sure that my keyboard is not malfunctioning as I can use
all my applications normally. (Pressing O and Ctrl-O do not have the
  same effect.)

I'm not sure which package I should file this bug against. I'll
happily do an apport-collect once I know.
