Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 2007913] Re: HDMI Output sound has disappeared after Ubuntu update
Interesting. That indicates that the code is "fragile", not robust. I'm glad you finally got your systems to recognize the speakers. Do they work? In my system, it recognized the HDMI audio output, it just does not work. Testing the speakers gives the sound of silence. I'm back to 5.19.0-32-generic. That still works. Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 2007913] Re: HDMI Output sound has disappeared after Ubuntu update
Thank you so much! I have two disk drives; one with 22.04 and one with 18.04.3. When the update rendered 22.04 useless, I switched to 18.04.3. I got your explanation on how to use different kernels. When 18.04.3 crashed, I tried using a different kernel. In grub, I selected Advanced options and selected the previous generic kernel linux-image-5.19.0-31-generic. That immediately fixed the problem. Apparently, the linux-image-5.19.0-35-generic has the bug. Until they get around to fixing the defective 5.19.0-35 kernel, I will use 5.19.0-31 kernel. Thank you so much, yet again. This is the first time that I have gotten a work-around for defective code since I started using Ubuntu MATE. [Touch-packages] [Bug 2007913] Re: HDMI Output sound has disappeared after Ubuntu update
My system is an ASUS A88XM-A with AMD A8-7600 Radeon R7. Video and audio output are via HDMI. As soon as I installed the latest update to Ubuntu MATE 22.04 the audio broke. When I went to the control center, the entry for HDMI audio wasn't there. Apparently, the coder assumed everybody was using the motherboard audio and nobody uses HDMI or Display Port output. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1969633] [NEW] Bluetooth not connecting
Public bug reported: My computer is an ASUS A88XM-A with AMD A8-7600 Radeon R7. Pluggable USB 2 Bluetooth dongle. Logitech K480 Bluetooth keyboard and Keychron K7 Bluetooth "keyboard". The Bluetooth manager finds the K480 but pairing always fails. The keyboard flashes blue but dongle steady blue. The K7 does not even show up. (But then the "keyboard" does not even work using a USB cable.) Bought dongle and K480 4 years ago, never got them to work at all, gave up as a bad investment. I ordered a K7 wireless keyboard. What I received was a Bluetooth keyboard. Bluetooth does not work. Plugging it in with a USB cable partially works (function keys and End key do not work). Got the K480 working with my Samsung Galaxy 5 Android tablet, but not with my computer. I want Bluetooth but do not know how to get it to work. It still does not work after 4 years of cold boots and the replacement of the power supply. I went to the Keychron Facebook Linux group.
