[Touch-packages] [Bug 1474318] [NEW] please build the xorg-libinput driver [request]
Public bug reported: for fedora 22 and newer its the default input system. ubuntu dont have that driver yet for xorg. so please build the driver here is the fedora bug tracker: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1181565 source site: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-libinput/ why? because i want to use it. i love the input in fedora, i love how my mouse works together with my wacom both work really smooth on the desktop side. thats not the case in ubuntu or any other distro. thats why i tried first arch and it did work like charm and then fedora wich was much better at this time. so please, you dont have to set it as default input or anything but please build this driver ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 Package: xorg 1:7.7+7ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.0.0-4.6-lowlatency 4.0.7 Uname: Linux 4.0.0-4-lowlatency x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.17.3-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Tue Jul 14 12:53:35 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-05-16 (58 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet - Release amd64 (20150422) SourcePackage: xorg UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to wily on 2015-06-27 (16 days ago) ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug wily -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1474318 Title: please build the xorg-libinput driver [request] Status in xorg package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: for fedora 22 and newer its the default input system. ubuntu dont have that driver yet for xorg. so please build the driver here is the fedora bug tracker: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1181565 source site: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-libinput/ why? because i want to use it. i love the input in fedora, i love how my mouse works together with my wacom both work really smooth on the desktop side. thats not the case in ubuntu or any other distro. thats why i tried first arch and it did work like charm and then fedora wich was much better at this time. so please, you dont have to set it as default input or anything but please build this driver ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 Package: xorg 1:7.7+7ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.0.0-4.6-lowlatency 4.0.7 Uname: Linux 4.0.0-4-lowlatency x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.17.3-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Tue Jul 14 12:53:35 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-05-16 (58 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet - Release amd64 (20150422) SourcePackage: xorg UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to wily on 2015-06-27 (16 days ago) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1474318/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Touch-packages] [Bug 1472283] Re: bootctl install does not work as systemd bootloader is not built/shipped
right now i use gummiboot because it is nice to have my installation in my uefi menü and can start it directly. cause gummiboot is EOL now i wanted to switch to systemd boot, just like in arch. If that's confusing, we could also stop installing bootctl completely. that would be one option or you just build it that it works, even when thers no integration... but a tool you know it wont work is no option for an OS.. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1472283 Title: bootctl install does not work as systemd bootloader is not built/shipped Status in systemd package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in systemd package in Debian: New Bug description: when you want to switch to systemd you need to sudo bootctl install --path=/boot/efi but für ubuntu this fails with Failed to open /usr/lib/systemd/boot/efi: No such file or directory it seems that something is wrong with that full output: % sudo bootctl install --path=/boot/efi :( Created /boot/efi/EFI/systemd.
