Title:
Everything hangs when coming out of fullscreen in chrome

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
If I have hardware acceleration enabled in my chrome settings (which
it is automatically), my entire desktop freezes 9 times out of 10 when
I come out of fullscreen mode. It doesn't matter whether it's with F11
or a video on a site such as YouTube. Strangely enough, the audio
  keeps on going.

If I disable hardware acceleration, then I don't experience this
issue, but I can't use WebGL. My CPU usage also goes through the roof
, heating my laptop up, and reducing my battery life.

If I switch to a different tty with CTRL+ALT and login it says
that it can't connect to the X server or something. I don't
particularly want to cause a another hang to find out either as a
forceful shutdown may damage my filesystem(s).

I'm using Ubuntu Desktop 15.10 wily.

  Here's my uname -a:

Linux Snowflake 4.2.0-16-generic #19-Ubuntu SMP Thu Oct 8 15:35:06 UTC

The thing is that this may be flaw and not a bug. I think I read
something about this behaviour being by design.

  HOW TO REPRODUCE

  1. Connect a removable media to the computer.
  2. On the launcher, click on the Files icon.
  3. On the left sidebar, click on the removable media icon or the trash.
  4. Minimize the window.
  5. Click on the Files icon.

  EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

  - The Files window to be maximized.

  REAL BEHAVIOUR

  - A new window is opened.

  RELEVANT DETAILS

  - One way to navigate between windows at this moment is to use the
control + tabulation key combination, or to click again on the
Files icon so windows are exposed.

Otherwise the minimized window Can be restored by clicking on the
Volume's launcher icon or scrolling on the Files icon

  **
   SOLUTION
  **

  WORK-AROUND

  - On the launcher, left click on the Files icon and select the
  unlock from Launcher option.

  FIX

  - The launcher icon for Files to be treated the same way as if it
  was unlocked.

  REGRESSION POTENTIAL

  - Clicking on the Files icon won't send the user to its home folder,
but to the latest opened Files window.

  HOW TO REPRODUCE

  1. Connect a removable media to the computer.
  2. On the launcher, click on the Files icon.
  3. On the left sidebar, click on the removable media icon or the trash.
  4. Minimize the window.
  5. Click on the Files icon.

  EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

  - The Files window to be maximized.

  REAL BEHAVIOUR

  - A new window is opened.

  RELEVANT DETAILS

  - One way to navigate between windows at this moment is to use the

Otherwise the minimized window Can be restored by clicking on the
Volume's launcher icon or scrolling on the Files icon

  WORK-AROUND
