Title:
  system crashes even the BIOS

Bug description:
  I have been using 13.10 but upgraded to 14.04 from 13.10 OS upgrade package 
since then my laptop crashes frequently and even corrupts the BIOS which 
results in no BIOS loading and opening laptop physically desoldering the CMOS 
battary and after 10 minutes recovering BIOS to normal this has happend 100's 
of times and I am frustated of this i had a dual boot config but Ubuntu has 
even corrupted windows and now It fails to load windows OS further Lenovo one 
key recovery has also failed to repair windows problems and even restoring 
factory image.
  Now I am struck with a faulty Ubuntu 14.04 which crashes veery now and then 
and every time i have to open it's motherboard to reset BIOS and even then 
system crashes without any warning and fails to restart pls help.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a regular (non-security) bug.  I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
