phone if a user does not like to have it in the phone?

  -- UX Comment --

There are two possibilities for "removing" a scope from the phone:

  1 - Unfavourite a scope:
If we access the 'Manage Dash' screen (via bottom edge gesture), you can tap
on the star icon to remove any scope from the Dash (except the Apps Scope).
After doing this, that scope will not be shonw as part of the Dash pagination.
You can reverse the action by tapping on the star again.

  2 - Uninstall a scope:
If we go to the Ubunut Store (accessible from the Apps Scope or by tapping on
the Store icon on the Manage Dash header) and we search for a specific scope
(e.g.: Today Scope), we can tap on the 'Uninstall' button to uninstall it from
the system. A confirmation dialog will prompt you and if you confirm, the scope
will be uninstalled and therefore removed permantly from the Dash (pagination)
and the Manage Dash screen. You can reverse this action by installing the scope
again (same steps as any other app in the store).

However, we are working towards a entire redesign of Scopes and Dash,
therefore this is subject to change in the near future. The desired
solution and specs will be updated as soon as they are available.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1404824] Re: [Scopes] There is no way to uninstall a scope on ubuntu phone

2016-11-29 Thread Keefer
Also looking for a way to completely remove unwanted scopes from my
ubuntu nexus 4, I bought this device because I was enticed by the
new/open platform and wanted to experiment with development for it...
but this bloat is unwelcoming.

It should be as intuitive to uninstall a scope, as it is to uninstall an
app. That is, I expect to long-tap on the scope in "Manage" view, and
see a page where I can uninstall it.

Has there been any update in fixing this?

Its strange Ubuntu pushes the Scopes as the main feature but this issue
seems looked over.

Is the reason for this Commercial or Technical?

2016-05-26 Thread Mily
Amazon scope does not appear using the "click list" command-line.

I would like to remove all scopes that non-use; like Amazon, Ebay,
Yahoo! Finance, Shopping, Yelp...

They are more scopes and apps that after uninstall by Ubuntu Store
continue to appear in Permy app, like: BBC, BBC-Sport, EuroNews, FitBit,
Food, Google-plus,Instagram, Telegram, Soundcloud, Twitter, webapp-
Amazon, webapp-Ebay, webapp-Facebook, webapp-Gmail, webapp- Twitter...

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1404824] Re: [Scopes] There is no way to uninstall a scope on ubuntu phone

2015-11-21 Thread Ama
Uninstalling Scopes doesn't work with every Scope, since Scopes like Amazon or
Ebay do not show up in Ubuntu Store.
It would be nice to get onto the Ubuntu Store Site of a Scope by pressing log
on it in the Manage Scopes view.

Regards,
Amarantine

(e.g.: Today Scope), we can tap on the 'Uninstall' button to uninstall it from
the system. A confirmation dialog will prompt you and if you confirm, the scope
will be uninstalled and therefore removed permantly from the Dash (pagination)
and the Manage Dash screen. You can reverse this action by installing the scope
again (same steps as any other app in the store).

However, we are working towards a entire redesign of Scopes and Dash,
therefore this is subject to change in the near future. The desired
solution and specs will be updated as soon as they are available.

[Scopes] There is no way to uninstall a scope on ubuntu phone

Bug description:
Currently, I only know that "click unregister" may help to remove an
installed scope. May I know how I can remove an installed scope on the
phone if a user does not like to have it in the phone?
