[Touch-packages] [Bug 1407907] Re: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely

2015-05-18 Thread Antti Kaijanmäki
Two separate issues in this bug:
one is the password dialog being displayed indefinitely and second is the
design/ui change.

Let's use this bug to track the dialog being displayed indefinitely and
I will split a new bug for the design/ui work.

we try connecting to it. Specification updated again.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1407907] Re: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely

2015-03-14 Thread Pat McGowan
Juts saw this again, the issue seems to be that when leaving Wifi
coverage and before the phone suspends the connect dialog is created
while the screen is off, so when the user resumes the phone it is
displayed. But the AP prompted for connection should no longer have been
visible in the first place.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1407907] Re: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely

2015-02-19 Thread Michał Sawicz
The password dialog is a notification as any other, if we don't want to
ask for the password when locked, the network indicator should make sure
of that.

But, why would we do that? What's the issue? When you have indicators
on, you can even connect to a new WiFi network, so you need the dialog
shown?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1407907] Re: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely

2015-02-18 Thread Pat McGowan
I just experienced this on two phones running rtm and vivid, I had not
seen this before but got two in one day

I added unity8 because the dialog is shown over the greeter, which seems
like should be impossible

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1407907] Re: [phone] Leaving WiFi coverage often leads to the password dialog being displayed indefinitely

2015-01-06 Thread Matthew Paul Thomas
This reminds me of https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=680911:
NetworkManager treats several different causes of Wi-Fi disconnection as
if they are the fault of an incorrect password.
