I'm having the exact same problem after upgrading from ubuntu-gnome 14.10 on an older HP Pavillion DV1000 laptop. My case is if after fresh booting up I put my laptop to the sleep mode and then wake it up, it keeps entering the sleep mode again and again every ~30 seconds.
