[Touch-packages] [Bug 1476757] Re: unity8-dash appears in landscape mode, incorrectly scaled

2015-08-26 Thread Daniel d'Andrada
the on resume applications get displayed with wrong proportions, for a
short time part is being dealt with on bug 1466510

** Description changed:

If the device gets locked while in landscape mode, on resume applications get
displayed with wrong proportions, for a short time. In the case of unity8-dash,
this state persists until another app is started.
  Please see the attached screenshot.

  Exact steps to reproduce:

  - Close all running apps
  - Open system settings, or any app which supports landscape mode
  - hold the device in landscape mode, and wait for the shell to rotate
  - switch to the task manager
  - close the app
  - press the power button to lock the device

- - press the power button and unlock the device (still holding in in portrait
mode)
+ - press the power button and unlock the device (still holding it in landscape
mode)
  - stand in admiration of the dash in landscape mode :-)

Also, while in this state, if you rotate your device you'll see that you
can transition between (broken) landscape and portrait mode for the
  unity8-dash too :-)

** Changed in: unity8 (Ubuntu)
   Status: New = Confirmed

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1476757] Re: unity8-dash appears in landscape mode, incorrectly scaled

2015-08-26 Thread Daniel d'Andrada
So I will rephrase this bug to be about the fact that you can freely
rotate a portrait-only app (unity8-dash) by following the steps in the
description.
