maybe we add a property to auto-select the currentIndex... we must check
whether this makes sense, we must check the performance drawbacks of
having this feature there.

Title:
Clicking on a listitem doen't select the item

Status in ubuntu-ui-toolkit package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
clicking on a list item doens't set the item as the current index by
default. This is very problematic when actions are used and the list
item is right clicked as the user can selected the context menu but
the action is performed on the currentindex which is not the item that
  was selected.

This can be overcome by adding ListView.currentIndex = index to every
action but its seem that allowing the item to be selected by default
  would be much cleaner.
