[Touch-packages] [Bug 1588376] Re: Not clear that an event is in-progress
Yeah, I can confirm a past event is removed from the indicator, so no need for a 'Past', only a 'Now'. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to indicator-datetime in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1588376 Title: Not clear that an event is in-progress Status in Canonical System Image: Confirmed Status in Ubuntu UX: New Status in indicator-datetime package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When it is just past the start time of an event, the indicator lists that event as 'x minutes ago'. At an initial glance, this doesn't look much different from an event scheduled in the future, and takes me a couple of seconds to register that the event is in-progress. After an hour or so, the event is simply listed with its start time, which looks identical to a future event, and takes even more time to process that it is an in-progress event. Proposed solution: An in-progress event should display its time as 'Now'. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1588376] Re: Not clear that an event is in-progress
I assumed past events would be removed from the indicator (it's not late enough in the day for me to have seen that yet). What use is showing previous old events in the upcoming events section of the indicator? It can't imagine how that would ever be useful. I suppose it should also say "Past" when an event has ended. ** Changed in: canonical-devices-system-image Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: canonical-devices-system-image Assignee: (unassigned) => Bill Filler (bfiller) ** Also affects: ubuntu-ux Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: canonical-devices-system-image Assignee: Bill Filler (bfiller) => Alejandro J.
