Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 16.10 dev with coreutils 8.25-2ubuntu2 and I'm noticing that df and du are using the same options for the same actions but df documents "-i, --inodes" while du documents only "--inodes" while no other option uses already -i. Maybe this option can be made consistent in this case (I would not be wondered if there are more such issues especially in other similar applications).
