The reason for this is that it immediately syncs the new ordering to
gsettings and accountsservice...

  disk write 500KB/s (Actual disk write: 2.3 M/s??)  mostly dconf-service and 
accounts-daemon

  how to: drag an icon out of the launcher (don't let go!) and move your
  mouse up and down or whatever on the screen
