[Touch-packages] [Bug 1650737] Re: Written text disappears when trying to place a cursor in a new position

2017-02-16 Thread GTriderXC
Please try to fill in a registration form on this site on M10:

https://my.raceresult.com/62096/registration?lang=de=1

Every time You start to input a new string in a form, previous string is
automatically pasted from the previous input form. I think this is the
same problem and the same case as Facebook messages. I even have the
same problem reporting this bug now. When I point the cursor in a new
position, the very last word I wrote will be automatically pasted.

Title:
Written text disappears when trying to place a cursor in a new
  position

Status in ubuntu-keyboard package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
As You can see in the video, I'm trying to work with previously
written text in a Facebook app on M10 HD with OTA-14:

  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M9AyGupkRc=youtu.be

Every time I try to place a cursor in a new position, I have to start
writing the last word all over again unless I do not hide and show the
keyboard again (You can see the "solution" at 2:24)

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1650737] Re: Written text disappears when trying to place a cursor in a new position

2017-02-07 Thread GTriderXC
I can't reproduce it in a web browser either. But the answer why may be
answered in an attached photo. If we comment, post or write a message in
a browser, a big new message editor opens. It doesn't look any more on
my device as it used to on a video.

HOWEVER, Yes I can reproduce it! I installed a Yahoo mail app. If You click a
Facebook link in a message, Facebook will be opened the way that You can see in
my video.
I have the very same problems when I write messages through this app. But the
video was taken from a web browser.

I can’t reproduce the issue on arale running OTA-14, FWIW.

@GTriderXC, is this issue still affecting you?
