[Touch-packages] [Bug 1662454] Re: package python-xdg 0.25-4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2018-03-01 Thread Simon Quigley
Marking as Invalid because the release is EOL is not correct. Marking as
Incomplete. Also, 18.04 is (at the time of writing) still in development, and
you should expect some breakage.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Responses#Release_has_reached_End_of_Life_.28EOL.29

Reporter, is this still present on 17.10 or 16.04?

This is an unsupported release now. Please think to install the next LTS
'Bionic 18.04'

Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 1662454] Re: package python-xdg 0.25-4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2017-02-07 Thread Cor Melse
Hi, could it be that i have Python 2.7 and 3.5 (with Anaconda) installed
and the default (update-alternatives) is 3.5?
maybe Hamster does not work with 3.5?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1662454] Re: package python-xdg 0.25-4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2017-02-07 Thread Thomas Kluyver
Here's the actual error from the log file:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/pycompile", line 35, in
from debpython.version import SUPPORTED, debsorted, vrepr, \
  File "/usr/share/python/debpython/version.py", line 24, in
from ConfigParser import SafeConfigParser
ImportError: No module named 'ConfigParser'

I don't know how you get that, but ConfigParser is part of the Python
standard library, so it should always be present.
