Public bug reported: Testing unity8 on classic desktop, I see that there is an icon in the app drawer that says "Shutdown" and runs "gnome-session-quit --power- off"
It's not critical, but it would be nice if we supported the org.gnome.SessionManager dbus name and intercepted the call, like unity7 does. We already support similar dbus names for backwards compatibility. ** Affects: canonical-devices-system-image Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: unity8-desktop ** Tags added: unity8-desktop ** Also affects: canonical-devices-system-image Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1673229 Title: "Shutdown" app doesn't do anything in deb-based Unity8 Status in Canonical System Image: New Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Testing unity8 on classic desktop, I see that there is an icon in the app drawer that says "Shutdown" and runs "gnome-session-quit --power- off" It's not critical, but it would be nice if we supported the org.gnome.SessionManager dbus name and intercepted the call, like unity7 does.
