Public bug reported: In 19.04 I could type apt upd<TAB> or apt fu<TAB> and autocomplete would work. It doesn't work in 19.10 as root (though it does as my normal user). I fixed the issue by uncommenting the last lines of /root/.bashrc but I don't understand why you'd break root user autocomplete by default.
This is in an upgrade scenario from 19.04, I don't know if it's similarly broken in a clean install. ** Affects: bash (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bash -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to bash in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1848627 Title: bash root autocomplete disabled on upgrade Status in bash package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: In 19.04 I could type apt upd<TAB> or apt fu<TAB> and autocomplete would work.
