  dpkg-divert crashed with SIGSEGV in Perl_hv_common()

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: dpkg

  Was trying to update via aptitude while a flash video was playing in
  firefox.

  I also had a BSD guest running in VirtualBox 2.2 at the time, but I
  was still able to shut this guest down cleanly following the dpkg-
  divert error.
