Title:
  [RIPTIDE - Riptide] Playback problem

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
In general, it seems to occur after my computer has been on for 40+
hours (since the last reboot, that is). Essentially, audio playback
simply crashes (this MIGHT or might not be a firefox-specific issue,
since I have yet to actually download mp3s onto this computer which I
  could test) spontaneously.

Following that, I opened Sound Preferences, and within the next
minute, sound had returned. A minute after closing Sound Preferences
the sound crashed again. I repeated this for 4 times before simply
opening Sound Preferences and moving it to workspace 4.
