Title:
  [NFORCE - NVidia CK804] no microphone-in after 10.04 to 10.10 upgrade

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  * Worked fine pretty much from Ubuntu 6.06 through 10.04.
  * Now I have sound playback(xrunny somewhat) but no microphone in at all.
Verified with multiple recording programs.
  * Tried alsa force-reloading (which used to work way back when)
  * alsamixer selecting mic no luck.
  * There are plugs for audio on the front and back but the front ones aren't
connected to the motherboard whereas the back ones are. It's entirely possible
that the wrong mic is selected internally somewhere.
  * The best sound setting is the 7.1 surround although I tend to use just
stereo headphones & a mic.
