Similarly the font is not returned as an option by the Emacs `x-list-fonts' function. Is it possible that the apt-get instillation did not properly register the 14-part font name with the X server? This likely needs a day or two of debugging depending. For fixing: once it's possible to rebuild the font, this is then likely to be relatively easy to patch; either in the source, or binary.
