2010-06-14 Thread Draulio Neto
Hi,

I'm not understanding how to configure the email account. I've installed the
mail2trac plugin, and create some users with emails.

But how I configure the email service to send mails? There is a standard
mail of the trac? or I must configure with my own mail? How it is done?

I can make it in the trac admin, ou must be done via terminal?

Thanks.

Re: [Trac] About AccountManager plugin

What is missing?

Does trac/apache have write-permissions to your password store? On linux
you would typically have to do something like:

{{{
chgrp www-data passwd
chgrp www-data group
chmod g+rwx passwd
chmod g+rwx group
}}}

Note assuming the user-store is called passwd, and group-file is
group. In general the same user/group that has write-access to the
trac-install, needs write access to the password-file in order to
add/edit users.

I don't understand exactly what you want here. Do you want to:

(A) Send emails from trac to people when tickets change.

(B) Allow people to send emails to some mailbox and have Trac do
something with them (like enter tickets).

I ask because they are two completely different things.

[Trac] How to grant sqlite3 user privilege to update trac database?

Any guide how to issue db update privilege to an user?

There are a couple of options here:

(1) Have the script run a python script which imports the Trac
environment and uses the Trac API.

(2) Create a group w/ write permissions on the db file and add the build
user to that group.

[Trac] Trac Stoped to update

2010-06-14 Thread Ben Langenberg

Hello together,

since 3 days my trac instance stopped to show changesets from the svn
repository. There were a lot of changes in the svn but none of them is
shown at Timeline.
trac-admin PATH resync stops at exactly the revision which is last shown
in Timeline (3 days a go). So e.g. Trac see Revision 5539 and the real
last one is 5570.

Have anybody have similar issues?

Thanks for any help

kind regards

[Trac] Database ugprade issue on migration from 0.11.x to 0.12

2010-06-14 Thread alerque
Hello! Thanks to the Trac developers and community for a great
project! I was excited to see the release of 0.12. In particular being
able to translate the interface has been a long awaited feature.

I just tried to update the package repository for my linux
distribution (PLD-Linux) and I think all went well there. The
resulting trac install does function, but of course it says my old
projects need to be upgraded.

I tried to run `trac-admin /path/to/project upgrade`, but it throws
the following error:

InterfaceError: Cursor needed to be reset because of commit/rollback
and can no longer be fetched from.

The SQLite database is then broken for both versions, although it was
getting properly backed up so I was able to restore it and continue to
access projects using trac 0.11.7.

I tried several different projects, and the error was always the same.
Any ideas what might be up?

[Trac] Relicts from plugins in database

2010-06-14 Thread W. Martin Borgert

Hi,

after installing and de-installing plugins (e.g. for testing)
sometimes there a relicts left in the database, esp. tables.

It seems easy for plugins to add new tables to the database,
but it is difficult for an admin to know which tables are maybe
not used anymore, because the plugin is deinstalled. Is there
an overview about which tables are used by Trac (core) and
which plugin owns which tables? For Bitten it is easy, because
all table names start with bitten_, but other plugins don't
have a prefix. Am I missing sth.?

TIA!

OK, I just dropped some tables related e.g. to the downloads,
mastertickets and timing/estimation plugins, that are not
installed anymore here. Probably everything is fine now.

Still, it would be nice to e.g. let plugins register their
tables or sth. like that. This would make it easier to clean
up databases after a plugin is removed.

[Trac] creating a TRAC ticket via direct POST

2010-06-14 Thread Dan Winslow
I'd like to be able to use the TRAC posting functionality via php, in
order to create a ticket from a php script and also benefit from the
TRAC internals. So I assume that sending a correctly formatted POST
request to the http: server might be what I want, but I'm not
sure..authentication is an issue of course and the __FORM_TOKEN may be
as well. Is it possible to do what I want this way, or is there an
easier way?

Thanks

[Trac] Re: Enterprise workflow: after accepting ticket I can't close the ticket

2010-06-14 Thread spencer
Thanks for the replies.

After experimenting with these two unrelated lines in the workflow:

 assign = new - assigned
 test = new,assigned,in_work - in_QA

...changing them to:

 assign = new,accepted - assigned
 test = new,assigned,in_work,accepted - in_QA

I think I've got it to a place where it at least won't get stuck in
the accepted state anymore, but I haven't tested it because I'm using
ProjectLocker's Trac, and I would prefer not to install Trac locally
just to test this. So is there anyone that can spend a small amount
of time and do these:

1. repro the issue yourself (by accepting a ticket using enterprise-
workflow.ini)
2. verify that the two line changes prevent you from getting a ticket
into a no-exit accepted state.
3. submit a bug ticket (or let me know that's steps 1 and 2 are
correct and I'll submit it)

I would appreciate this (and we'd have a workflow on edgewall.org that
has one less problem)
Thank you!
spencer

Is there an example of how to construct the XML request for the ticket.create
