In a ticket, I have a Cc like this:

  @Tickets

This is handled by the Announcer plugun so that users who have added
themselves to this group get e-mail. Works quite nice.

I would now like to append specific e-mails to this list:

  @Tickets, some...@yoyodyne.com, pesky...@gmail.com

Oddly, the messages are still sent to users in the Tickets list. However,
the additional addresses do not get a message. I checked the trac.log
 file
 and there is no complaint.

 Am I missing comething?

So the Cc field used like this is working for everyone? Only I have this
 mystery?

I think the @Group syntax it offers is quite usefui. But I am not married to
it. I am open to alternative suggestions. We like it because it lets people
get e-mails for ticket activity in which they are not directly involved but
may like to follow.

The solutiuon I would really like would be that people can select to receive
an e-mail for all newly created things (tickets, wiki pages, etc). Then they
are free to select Watch This if they want notified of all future activity for
that item.

The problems are that

(1) there is no mechanisim for e-mails when things are created. (I discussed
this here a while back and interest was iffy). You can't select to Watch This
if you do not know it has come in to existence. Hence our use of groups.
Unfortunatrly you then always get e-mails for all activity.

(2) The Watch This thing seems to remember that you have selected it. But
nothing more happens. No e-mails when a ticket is changed, for example. Maybe
I have misunderstood what it should do. Could there be some issue with core
Trac and some plugin that has muddled this?

[Trac] [ANN] Usersnap integration for Trac

2013-09-18 Thread Gregor Dorfbauer
Hello!

We've worked hard on our new Trac integration for Usersnap and I'm glad
to announce the first public version of the Trac integration today!

Usersnap is a screenshot tool for web developers - it works directly in the
browser
and you will get screenshots attached to your Trac tickets.

We use the Trac integration heavily during development by ourselves,
but would like to hear some feedback from other trac users.

Find the Trac integration here (it requires XML-RPC enabled):
https://usersnap.com/trac

Best,
Gregor

Fact is that atm it is not possible to apply filters after computing
aggregate functions , in this case considering dates or time spans .
GViz QL does not support SQL HAVING clause . I've sent a messge to
GViz API group looking for feedback to see whether it'd be a good idea
to incorporate it into the language .

Do you think that adding HAVING clause is a good idea ?

2013-09-18 Thread Remy Blank
RjOllos wrote:
I came across the PyCon page (1) today and see that the last documented
TracSprint at PyCon was in 2011. I was wondering if there was anyone on
this list that has attended a TracSprint at PyCon in the past, knows
what the turnout was like and whether there have been any since then.

I was in Atlanta in 2010, and met Tim Hatch, John Hampton, Eli Carter
and Noah Kantrowitz. We had quite a productive sprint after the event,
with many bug fixes and a few new features (I remember writing the
ticket deleter there).

I wasn't able to attend in 2011. In 2012 in Santa Clara, I met Tim Hatch
and Simon Cross (of Genshi Team). I unfortunately couldn't stay for the
sprints, so I don't know if anything happened there.

But with that single experience, I can tell: do try to organize a sprint
at PyCon 2014. It's a wonderful experience, a very productive and fun
environment, and you get to meet many great people. Work on Trac core,
work on Trac plugins, work on other projects: it doesn't matter, as long
as you're having fun.

Also, pro tip: make sure you attend the testing BoF.
