Sorry about the cross post.  Daily Maverick, a South African  African 
online newspaper, wants to do another article on Alaa.  Please can you 
forward this mail to other people who know Manal and Alaa and reply to 
Theresa  if you wish to be interviewed.

They are mostly interested in people who knew Alaa when he lived in 
Pretoria.  But as Alaa lived so much in a virtual world this might 
include you.

My name is Theresa Mallinson, and I'm a journalist at

about imprisoned Egyptian blogger-activist Alaa Abd El Fattah, and would 
like to interview some people who know him from when he lived in 
Pretoria. I'd basically like to find out some personal recollections you 
have of him, as well as whether you kept in touch when Alaa went back to 
Egypt, and if you had any conversations about the revolution, et cetera. 
And are you in touch with his family or friends in Egypt now, and is 
there any campaign to free him that you're part of? If you feel happy to

[translate-pootle] Can't get Pootle up and running

Hi everyone,

first of all, I have no idea about Phyton and all this stuff.

I came across Pootle during an article and it would be a great tool for 
some translation work, I guess.
Now I tried to get it up and running but I really get it. It's always 
like getting dozens of error from Phyton and so on. I have spent about 8 
hours now to figure out, how I can install all that stuff, that is 
needed and I'm really frustrated at the moment.

Perhaps one of you can help me a bit, like a tutorial for dummies. Or 
perhaps there is a novice getting started guide somewhere or an easy 
install all in one package for windows? Some hints would be really great.
