[translate-pootle] Pootle 2.5.1 released

2014-01-30 Thread Dwayne Bailey
Hi,

Pootle 2.5.1 is now out.

Yes, we did miss our 6 month release
cyclehttp://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/pootle/en/stable-2.5.1/developers/release.html#release-process-principles!
Many changes have gone into Pootle 2.5.1 which follows on from 2.5.0
released in May.

For those who can’t wait you might be interested to know what we’ve got
planned on our
roadmaphttp://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/pootle/en/stable-2.5.1/developers/roadmap.html#roadmapfor
Pootle 2.5.2.
 Changes in Requirements

   - Django = 1.4.10 (note that Django 1.5 and 1.6 are not yet supported)
   - Translate Toolkit http://toolkit.translatehouse.org/download.html =
   1.11.0
   - Python = 2.6

 Installation and Upgrade

   -
Installationhttp://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/pootle/en/stable-2.5.1/server/installation.html
   -
Upgradehttp://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/pootle/en/stable-2.5.1/server/upgrading.html

*Changes since 2.5.1-rc1*

   - Goals: more efficient cache flushing mechanism, sites with large
projects took very long to submit new translations.
   - LDAP: explicit import of ldap.filter
   - Tags: restrict accepted taggit versions to those that will work with
   Pootle’s use of tags.

*Complete 2.5.1 release

 Pootle 2.5.1 is now out.

Congratulations and many thanks!

 - Django = 1.4.10 (note that Django 1.5 and 1.6 are not yet supported)

Is there a roadmap for this or any plans?

I would love to see Pootle in Debian again, but the next stable release
will contain Django = 1.6.1.

TIA and cheers

Here we go
http://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/pootle/en/latest/developers/roadmap.html#estimated-release-april-2014

Essentially we're slowly picking away at the things that have kept us stuck
on 1.4.x

You can already see this commit to master from
https://github.com/translate/pootle/commit/ba88172476a5aaa385b501137a4c54e48a2ae34bfrom
a month ago that bumps us up to 1.5

 will contain Django = 1.6.1.
