I apologise -- I was a bit over-eager. I knew there was some reason why
I didn't give out more languages for the user manual... now I remember
what that reason was. :-)

I must agree. Some of this is due to me not being able to fully look at
the wiki->PO->wiki process that we were using. If someone has
experience in dokuwiki or wants to look at automation of this (they now
have an xmlrpc interface) then I'd be happy to give some pointers. I
think making sure we can localise is holding back improvement of the
docs.

Please note that we have sort-of halted on working with the Pootle user
manual for now - I don't want you to waste your time translating it.
There has been some excellent new pieces of documentation written,
mostly external to our project. These are now linked from the front page
of the Pootle wiki section.

There is also currently quite a few UI changes under discussion. With
all of this in mind, it is my hope that we will be doing at least a
partial rewrite of the documentation to better help users of all roles,
and then to figure out the proper way to work with the documentation and
the translated versions. For now I think your time is best spent on the
l10n projects and the discussions for improvements here :-)

Keep well
