When exactly did capitalism "outlive its usefulness"? I totally agree with you that the application of capitalism to certain fields of endeavor- such as politics, healthcare, or innovation (copyright, patents, etc.)- is a disastrous failure on the behalf of the people to uphold the liberties we were granted. whether by choice or by ignorance. "Nice capitalism" is even worse- deciding to discard individual liberties in favor of businesses being "socially responsible" is destined to be a problem. However, I don't see why pure socialism or pure anarchy are the only options. As far as I can tell, capitalism still does a wonderful job at producing innovation, *but* only when it's controlled. The problem seems to be less with the system and more with how it's applied to the very system that stops it from breaking down. When mega-corporations can buy their way out of legislative attacks on their power, they do so. If we can control the outlets available to them for cheaply maximizing profits, however, then (in theory) they should stop trying to find loopholes and start doing something of value. Maybe I'm wrong- I often am- but, with democracy cleaned up, citizens should be able to avoid being left at the feet of the CEOs regardless. In any case, I don't think it even needs to be said we can all agree the current system needs a significant overhaul. Also, I agree this belongs in the Troll Hole.

Thinkpad T400 it is greatest laptop, and seems be better than T410, T420, T430. Just compare heatsinks of each and see. And yes Thinkpads are perfect, but Macbooks looks much better. But I hate all slim-light-ultra books crap.

It's me, yes, I improved temps. Here is no problem for Macbook when it is on idle, the problem is on load (light or heavy as watching 1080 video), when on load, now temp are not so high, it runs about 75-80 celcius, but the fan runs almost at 7000rpm, it is extremely loud, when T400 runs much cooler and very quiet by default. I also added extra copper heatsing and an extra aluminum cooler instead of crappy Macintosh dvd-rom.

Yes, Libreboot says (or said) that it is is not possible run 3.0 (while running free software), this is not true, I run my librebooted computer with gigabyte board and 4x3.0 usb ports PCI card, and all my librebooted Thinkpads run 2x3.0-3x3.0 usb ports Express54 cards. And personally I send one card for Leah. These card are cheap (5-10€ for a unit), just plug it in (when computer is not powered on) and nothing more.

Perusing the French forum which I can understand only 'un peu,' but like trying, seeing this thread: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/paquets-conserv%C3%A9s-non-mis-%C3%A0-jour-dans-le-terminal concerning an issue I believe I have experienced before, and noticing mention of jxself.org/linux-libre, I, in Trisquel 8 decided to give it a whirl. The steps to upgrade my kernel given at the site were wonderfully perfect and I chose the 'sudo apt install linux-libre-lts' option and am now booting up to something like '4.9.15-gnu #1 SMP x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux' and see there is still Linux 4.4.0-66-generic and Linux-Libre 4.4.0-64-generic kernels available to grub advanced options. As far as I know, nothing was broken, all my apps seem to work just fine with the new kernel. So I was wondering why Trisquel doesn't keep up with jxself's/Linux-Libre kernels.

I actually prefer that to be frankly honest. The trackpoint is easier for me. I use this laptop anywhere I feel like without shame. It serves my needs quite well.

I am not denying capitalism is bad in excess, I just think the problem is too much captialism... though you may be right, maybe we need to strip our system of capitalism altogether in favor of a better way forward. I wouldn't even know what kind of option that would be though. But I guess the question is, who do we put in power who has such views who has a chance of winning? To be honest, I am not sure but the more I read, the more true some of the words sound. And yes, they do not have god-like powers. To be honest its probably the exact opposite and whatever power they have will vanish along with them eventually. They will kick and scream till their end all the way there. But frankly something must be done. Your thoughts?

That's capitalism. A few winners determine what computers you can use. The workings of mechanical computation from start to halt is black magic known not even to the monopolist who decides what parts your computer is made from, but does not know from what grains of sand and ceramic those parts will be composed and arranged, and can not verify even a bourgeois "libre" chip is what is claims to be. The private property of the few winners requires for its privileges the servicing of authority able to guarantee the strangle-hold of property in spite of what you may will. Pay no heed to those who will whine for "managed capitalism", they are not revolutionary, for they demand the preservation of a system that has out-lived its usefulness. Pay no heed to those who will only gasp in horror that terrible things can happen to them. Capitalism is horror without end. After 100 years, if it is not clear to you what must be done... get out of the way. Stop making it seem that the tiny minority of capitalists possess god-like power, instead of showing that the source of that power is in the ownership of production under the bourgeois class, a minority that thrives on labor, and employs labor only when it is profitable. It's just a case of importing the files one after another. There are plenty of tutorials on popular websites. However, Audacity does decode and then re-encode your files so there will be some loss in quality which you don't get with mp3wrap. I guess this doesn't really solve your problem unless you have the files available in a lossless format. Are the individual mp3s bookmarkable before you wrap them? I seem to recall that mp4box has a hint function which works with audio files. I think I used that before when I had large audio files that wouldn't scroll properly. Maybe try that? It's in the repositories as part of the gpac package.
