With the root mysql user workbench brings problems. I have created a user and I have entered without problems. Anyway, many alerts messages, I can not see the status of the server nor some functions are available because it tells me: This feature requires MySQL version 5.6.6 or newer. Thanks!

PS reading in the FSF website: "The AllWinner Axx and R8 platforms come in many boards such as the A13-OLinuXino, Cubieboard, Gooseberry, Hackberry and CHIP. In particular, the VPU cannot encode videos and can only decode videos in a few MPEG formats." It appears that no hardware support for some functionalities. I expect the same for other arm based chips.

The idea is good, but I would wait for some more powerful one. An A20 is the same as my banana pro and I can tell you it is not so fast, even just using the command line. I read that they are planning octa cores and similar.

I didn't understand the question. Are you referring to the database (MySQL or MariaDB) or to the client? MySql workbench is compatible with other databases than mysql, with mariadb for example. I see than in Debian 9 there is MariaDB and mysql-workbench (6.3.8+dfsg-1). So I don't understand the question.

EC means embedded controller. There is a program to update it, but it's on Windows, however in Libreboot's website there is a link to a guide which explains how to update it in GNU/Linux. Note that updating it is not mandatory

Hmm, your kernel is pretty new, that's good. in terminal alsamixer See if everything is k If not then sudo apt-get install pavucontrol Then see in pavucontrol if maybe the output is muted..

i agree with tha. i had a microsd for a raspberry pi which is used 24/7 and it died after 1.5 years of use. I do not know if my country has laws for e-waste disposal but I think *they just throw electronic waste in the garbage and be taken to junk shops

I have an onboard sound chipset -- I5 6600k and Gigabyte z170x-Gaming 3 rev 1.1 I have installed trisquel 7 with the lastest updates, but have no sound, tried an ogg file I seem to have the drivers recognized, but i hear nothing. Volume control seems normal. Please help. I am connected through 3.5 mm jack directly into the motherboard. I've tried the 2.1 speakers and normal stereo headphones and nothing. Also checked pulseaudio it seems to be working somehow. It is not on mute. Kernel version is 4.13
