Re: [Trisquel-users] Abrowser recommended privacy/security extension
Noscript is a good one, Ublock origin and privacy possum are also really smart choices. Ghostery is a really, really bad idea.

Yep, they are creepy and disgusting and their power is just too much, we have to difund the free software ideas in order to get a respectful world. Thanks for the comments.
[Trisquel-users] Abrowser recommended privacy/security extension
Hello! I just started using Trisquel GNU/Linux, also tried PureOS (which is a nice free distro) but I didn't feel at home (mostly due to GNOME 3). Anyway, now on Trisquel I see the default browser is Abrowser. One thing I don't like is that it is not up to date (security concerns) so I installed Brave browser, then again it somehow doesn't feel good to use Brave (can't tell you why) and now I try again to switch to Abrowser. There are many extensions out there, for me it is a mess. Brave already contains the necessary privacy/security extensions which is good for non technical person which I am not Questions (feel free to answer any or all of them): 1. What extensions are you using to browser with Abrowser, currently I downloaded uBlock Origin and NoScriptwhat about AddBlock? Is it still used? Or Ghostery? 2. What is the difference between NoScript extension and disabling JavaScript in the Abrowser? 3. How do you think about Abrowser not being up to date? 4. What is your main browser in Trisquel? Kind Regards
Re: [Trisquel-users] No suspend or hibernate options in GnomeShell
Alright I'll do that. Thanks.

I won't have time to investigate any further for next few days, but if no one else has helped you by then I'll look into it. In the meantime, I suggest suspending and hibernating manually using 'systemctl suspend' and 'systemctl hibernate', mapping those commands to keyboard shortcuts if desired. signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Actually, even suspend doesn't always work. All is good with Mate though so it's pretty frustrating.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Trisquel-Mini Desktop Environment
One of the Enlightenment Dev's has a ppa for ubuntu. https://launchpad.net/~niko2040/+archive/ubuntu/e19 note: it still says e19 in the link, but the current version he offers is 0.22.3 See no reason why it shouldn't work in Trisquel-mini ;)
